Very good quality and strong retractable dog lead. It has a nice comfortable handle that is easy to control the buttons to lock and unlock the lead when u need it to retract or extend. It has a good length or lead that extends to a distance of 5 metres which is great for long walks in the countryside.

This lead is very solidly built, it is heavy duty and it is ideal to use for a medium or large dog, especially if they pull strongly on any lead so u need the lead to be strong enough for this. It is extendable to a length of 5 metres and this will give your dog enough distance to explore the grass and bushes on their walk without u having to walk off the path and in the bushes too. It has button that allows it to extend and u can lock it off at whatever length that u need it to be so is good for using long on country walks then shortening when u are on busier streets where u have to look out for traffic. The reflective leash will show up in low light conditions to make walking safer and it is a tape design so is very strong and tangle free, the tape is also bite proof so wont get damaged if your dog tries to chew it. The lead is slightly heavy to get used to at first if u have just used a non extending lead before but it is comfortable to hold in your hand and easy to use the buttons to control the length. U will definitely feel that it is secure and strong so wont break when your dog pulls though.

I’ll start with the negative part of the review. I socialise & train assistance puppies & on my first use with a six month old Lab/Ret I found the lead did not retract quick enough so the puppy got tangled in the lead. So for this puppy I removed the end & fitted it to an older but quicker retractable lead which had been chewed through. I’m keeping the lead because every pup is different & on a very young pup this lead will be fine. I love it’s comfortable grip & weight. I wish I could get just the end connector then I could make use of both leads. For general walking the lead is good but if you have a young frisky puppy who runs back to you be aware of lead tangles which can harm a young pup with soft bones. Excellent lead in all other respects.
