This is a really nice striker. I bought it because I was putting together an Altoids tin firestarter kit as an xmas present. This fit brilliantly and the present was a big hit, with this striker being the center piece.

Great striker.
I've used this item with some chert pieces I found laying around my area. Throws nice sparks and have already used this to light a much of char cloth pieces. Good piece of kit.

Awesome fire steel
Started a fire within minutes. It was harder but then again it's not a ferrous rod. I also used some homemade char cloth to assist in starting my fire. Great product for the price.
