Brightest bike light I've ever had
BrightRoad BR-800 Front/Rear Bike Lights: I purchased this item to replace a very old Bell incandescent bike light. This is hands down the brightest bike light I've ever had, I don't know why I didn't get an LED light a long time ago. These lights give me serious peace of mind on the road. I'm not sure from what maximum distance you can see them, but when I am riding at night, other cyclists and pedestrians generally realize I'm approaching from behind at a distance of about 30 yards or so (I ride pedestrian paths, city streets, bike trails, mountain roads, and highways). Some people will just be perpetually oblivious of their surroundings, but with these lights on my bike, I haven't yet come across someone who didn't know I was there. It was easy to install, no tools needed; the front light tightens onto the handlebar with a heavy-duty plastic clamp similar to a cinch clamp or a hose clamp (you just adjust the tightness by hand). The rear light wraps onto the seat post with a heavy rubber strap. After that, the front light slides off its strap with a strong latch and the rear light unscrews from its strap. They charge with a common USB micro B phone charger cable. The lights are incredibly bright; I pass other bikes with similarly bright lights, I would say it feels about the same as driving at night. Just make sure to aim the light at the road and not straight ahead. The front light lasts four hours on the highest setting, but I haven't ridden long enough to kill it on the medium, low, or pulse settings; I haven't killed the rear light either in one ride. The front light power button glows blue until the battery is near dead, then begins flashing red. When this happens, I set it to low and get probably another hour out of it. I don't really pay attention to the rear light and it is always still working when I'm done riding. My only gripe is with the front light's battery life of four hours on high, but honestly, a four-hour battery life is very good for such a bright LED. I'm just being crotchety because it limits my night rides to four hours. It's easy enough to switch between high and low depending on the lighting, which helps conserve some power. One unexpected bonus about these lights: they're housed in aluminum. I dropped my front light pretty hard on the road one night and the case really took it like a champ. It was so relieving to discover I didn't just bust my new light. I highly recommend not being a butterfingers.UPDATE 08/22/2019: Two months in and these lights are still functioning well. I had thought I finally broke the tail light on a rough ride including some wet roads, gravel, and poorly-maintained pavement; once home the unit wouldn't charge unless I held the cable in the port firmly. Fortunately, the lights have a one-year warranty, but even more fortunately, it turns out my charger cable was the one that was dying. So these lights survived another trial! Definitely still a five-star product!

High quality, good price.
My nephew recently was gifted his first real bike so I went looking for a nice accessory. I went looking for a rear and front light and to be honest there are so many to choose from. Settled on these for the metal bodies and because they are rechargeable. Here’s what I like. Metal construction for both units, multi level brightness for the front and choice of solid or blinking for the rear. The rear is a little on the small side but brightness is pretty good, same for the front. I imagined units were slightly larger, no big deal just worth a mention. Overall 4.5 stars. I would have gone five stars but the way the lights mount concerns me. The front uses a plastic type ring and the rear uses a thick rubber bungee type material. The front mount seems like a bit of a weak point. The rear is strong, however it can be removed too easily. To me that means possibility to fall off easily or be stolen quickly and easily. Otherwise a solid by. Was gifted about 7 weeks ago, no issues thus far.

BEST FEATURE: being able to take the lights with you, leaving the mountings on the bike.
Bought this light after a plastic one I had broke, and couldn't be happier.- Screw-type mounting bracket, much more secure than bungee ones.- Both headlight and taillight are metal, they seem like they will hold up well.- Both mounts are very snug, and don't move when riding bumpy roads.- Headlight is very bright, as is the tail.- Very nice design; there is a yellow plastic piece in the headlight which shines as side markers.- Same side markers on taillight, but red.- There is a tab on the backside of the hook which makes for easy mounting of taillight bracket.I am always concerned with accessories walking off from my bike, as it is often parked on a college campus. I love how easily they can come off and be carried with me.Great product, would definitely recommend.

Great Lights!
We use them on the streets of Phnom Penh. Would only add an easier way to attach the back light to a seat post. The part for the back light comes off and can be dropped. The front light is brighter than most motorcycles here.
