Gamehide Sneaker Big Game Vest Blaze

We had a unusually warm deer season in Michigan and the only hunters orange I had was a heavy winter coat. I ordered this one size bigger to wear over a hoodie. I was shocked at how nice it was and the pockets are big enough to put gloves in. It also has a game bag on the back of it for small game. Very soft and quiet material.

Nice fit wish the pockets were bit quiter but ever hunt has its challenges. Satisfied...

The great: the orange camo is superb. Very bright. The good: the fit and design are spot on. Easy to put on and take off, and decent pocket space for the bare necessities. The back zippered pocket is a nice addition to carry more stuff you might not need all the time. Now to the poor: the front pocket closures and design are atrocious. The closures are some kind of extruded hook, and are a nightmare to use as you have to press both sides of it to get it to hold. The pockets themselves are so baggy that they sag terribly if you put much in them. I ended up having the wife sew the top corners up to tighten them, and I glued magnets on the corners to hold them closed (which is a much better design and use). Good vest, but terrible pocket design.

I waited until only a week before opening day to order, although I decided weeks ago that this is the vest I wanted. I LOVE this vest! It’s very soft, comfortable, quiet and has pockets! Who doesn’t love pockets? And these are big enough to securely hold a cell phone and snacks and anything else that pockets could hold. That little bitty pocket on the breast? Not sure what that might hold. Maybe my chapstick? It also has the added bonus of padding on the collar bone area. Nice added touch! I live in the south; it’s not uncommon to hunt in warmer weather wearing short sleeves. As for the Velcro pockets? I’m sure zippers would be better, but I’m smart enough to be aware that unfastening Velcro makes noise. Zippers cost more too. If money is no object, get one with zippers. The only negative thing to say is that they sent the wrong pattern. I ordered the orange blaze, doubled checked my confirmation to be sure it wasn’t my error. They sent Naked North. Less than 1 week til opening day now, not sure if I want to go through the trouble to send it back. I hate sending stuff back. For those unsure of sizing, I got the small because of other reviews saying they run big. If I decide to send it back, I will DEFINITELY reorder this vest, but in a medium to allow plenty of room over a bulky jacket (it gets cold late season) I didn’t take any stars away due to the mispick, that’s a human error and shouldn’t reflect negatively on the product itself. Perhaps I should add that I’m a mid 50’s woman. My husband loves it too. I see one of these in his near future 😊

The fabric is extremely quiet and the design is well thought out. It has built in shoulder pads (left and right), ultra quiet Velcro pockets, lots of storage options with a large rear pocket, hidden compartments, slots for extra shells, and hooks to hang the vest itself. Just keep in mind these run big. I usually wear a large and had to downside to a medium. Even still I have plenty of room to layer underneath

Great vest for deer hunting. Item was slightly different than in product description, no flashlight holder on upper left. Really prefer it without the flashlight holder. Pocket closures are not velcro, but interconnecting pegs. They seem to work well. Blaze camo was a nice option. Would buy again.

Good vest, However, the plastic Velcro buttons just don’t do it for me. Very hard to close pockets. Not sure why plain Velcro isn’t used.

I have wanted an orange vest with a camo pattern for a while. No, the pattern isn't pointless when you're dressed in orange. Many big game animals (such as deer) are colorblind so breaking up your silhouette with a pattern is valuable, even if your vest is bright orange. The material is light and thin, as expected. The fabric is silent. It meets all of the expectations I had. Underneath the top breast pocket (which velcros at the bottom) are some elastic loops for rifle cartridges. It's nice that it is secured in place by velcro to prevent rounds from falling out (something that seems to always happen with external loops). I usually wear a medium but ordered large so I can wear a jacket or two underneath. It is not a high dollar vest, and does not pretend to be. This vest has little structure and does not distribute weight very well but for the few times I go out each year, it is perfect. There are shotgun shell loops in the lower pockets but I wouldn't recommend this vest for upland game. Gamehide makes a better vest for that purpose which has more space, structure and rigidity.

Good vest. Pockets are nice

This is a really good vest! Blaze orange camo is hard to find here in Canada, and this one is perfect. The material is quiet in the bush, there’s lots of good pockets on it, (although the Velcro can be a bit noisy), and the zipper works good. I’m 6’3, 180 lbs and the large fits me well. It’s isn’t baggy over a light jacket or sweater, but has enough room to go over a winter jacket. I’ve had many layers on and it’s a bit snug, but still zips up over about 4 layers. I had the x-l at first, but it was huge for me. The large is perfect. I’d buy it again.

I got this vest to take my dog for a walk during hunting season. It is good quality and l like the fact it has lots of pockets (so lots of place for treats, etc). When I went deer hunting this season I used this vest instead of the one I usually wear because I liked the fit and pockets.

Pretty good, it's like fleece, so it's silent but lots of the bush sticks to it, lol. Overall it's pretty good for the money. My wife loves it because she says its soft and cozy, so she wears it and I bought a another style.
