Bankers Box 12 Pack Box R-KIVE Heavy-Duty File Storage Boxes, FastFold, Lift-Off Lid, Letter, White/Green

I'll post the following on each of the pages for these boxes. Information gathered from Amazon's and Office Max's Webpages June and July 2015, trying to figure out which to buy. These are subject to tax in my state, so actual costs were a little higher.I so resent having to pay good money for boxes like these.1. They are not acid free. Their acidity will migrate to any books, paper, or textiles stored in them, and the boxes will age, weaken, and fail in time.2. They are full of recycled content. I fully expect that by the time I am able to empty them, the boxes will be classed as only disposable as hazardous waste, because of the bisphenols all recycled paper and cardboards contain.But acid free file boxes cost ten or fifteen dollars each, or more.At least white boxes have the possibility of slightly less acidity in the white layer, than Kraft. And their edges and corners are more visible in dim light. (Oh how I HATE the woodgrain Bankers Boxes, with their misleading white stripe and black corners. And the dark inks leave tenacious smudges on clothes or skin as you build the boxes and covers. And why are they cheaper than the white-with-color-band-around-the-bottom ones, same brand and type?)3. I wish they would perforate if need be, but not cut out the hand-hold spaces. I never use the handles as they tend to tear. Book covers or other paper can catch on the edges of the cutouts and tear, if they lean and you are not Very careful as you straighten them.The links and text copied from amazon.com and officedepot.com follow. A great product as expected.

Let me say that these boxes are sturdy and look nice, and I definitely would purchase again. However, maybe I received a slightly defective case. I have purchased heavy duty file boxes before, but the assembly of these was a little more difficult. When trying to assemble them, it seems like they were slightly under-cut and therefore I struggled a little bit in getting the inner sides snugged and squared down. It did not affect the function or the look of the box, it just took a little more effort.

Very sturdy. Well designed for easy assembly as well as extra strength. Deep lid is a plus also. Would buy again.

I bought these to stack, and hopefully to last. They were more expensive then regular storage boxes, and as it turns out, worth it. They are extremely durable and stand up to the loads they were intended to handle. The top "snaps" into place, so it stays in position when other tops would be flying off.

Heavy, box assembles instantly. (Now if they can just figure out how to make the lids assemble as fast...)

I am organizing and scanning and then storing all the paper in my life; these boxes are great for long term storage. Very easy to unfold and put together.

Boxes. With lids! What more can I say.
