Good vegetable based pasta like diet option
These are especially good for us dieters that are looking for a way to add low calorie/ low starch item to bulk up a meal. This is only my second time buying them, one pack has enough in it to use for three servings. This particular product is a box with four packages in it. Store I purchased from before did not have them anymore, local stores told me they just discontinued carrying the hearts of palm pasta. So I looked on Amazon, ordered ( Prime member) and actually had the product in two days. Seem to be same quality as last ones I had gotten from another brand. I used with a frozen diet entree that was a pasta dish, adding these noodles to double the size of entree. They seem to take on taste of sauces they are mixed with. No particular taste of their own, nice spaghetti pasta like texture. I simply heated them in a pan with some chopped veggies I has sauteed and then mixed in my heated Chicken Piccata over spaghetti entree, stirred all together and heated a little longer for flavors to meld. Yummy!

You Know What? It's Actually Pretty Good!
Mine came in the Ecobox with 4 sealed plastic packages. Cut it open, drained it, and put it in a paper bowl. While this is made from hearts of palm, it definitely smells like artichoke upon opening. I nuked it for 1 min, added low fat/carb alfredo sauce, heated again for 1 minute, and added chicken...mixed it up and now only did it taste great, it was filling! Had an artichoke-y taste, but not too much. This is much more pasta-like compared with cauliflower or zucchini noodles. Way less watery too once cooked. The whole package was only 70 cals, 11g of carbs, no sugar and 5g of fiber! Compare that to pasta and it's a no brainer which is healthier. I will use this with different sauces and proteins and am confident I will like as well. The price stings, yes. But several of the new "veggieghetti's" out there are expensive as well and for me it was worth a little more to try this. I will probably never go back to zucchini or squash noodles as long as this is available.

Awesome
Growing up with Italians cooking pasta every Sunday and wanting to go low-carb it’s not an easy task. Finding this was a miracle for me. The texture is perfect. So easy to use. I want to try the lasagna noodles. I hope they aren’t as good as the angel hair. Highly recommend it

Must be WASHED, DRAINED and SOAKED in MILK
This product is better in texture that the zoodles (made of zucchini). However, you need to get rid of the natural heart of palm's acidity first, otherwise, it will be a very sad one-time experience. Wash and drain the content of one pouch in a strainer, and them soak it in milk, I used half & half. I read that 30 min in milk would be enough, but I left them for two hours; then I drained it and put them in a heated pan. At that point, you could tell by the smell that the acidity was gone. I added one tbsp. of butter, one tbsp. parmesan, salt and pepper. It was like having Angle hair (Capellini) in Alfredo's sauce, I guess because of the half and half... Delicious! Totally recommend it!

Would buy again
Trying keto products to help me stay on track that are also tolerable.PRICEThis item is a little pricy but worth it for the convenience.CONVENIENCEItems comes prepacked, “pre cooked” so you just have to heat it up. Heat time is fairly quick.TASTEVery similar to spaghetti squash, a taste I don’t mind. The texture is what I really want. Noodles have some firmness to the bite, similar to regular noodles.CONSSince the product is a veggie, it expels water/juice after being reheated and is on your plate. I had this same experience with spaghetti squash. The excessive water isn’t a huge deal for me.PROSConvenient,Can be flavored with sauces to mimic dish needs,Great option if watching carb intake.Would buy again. Would probably towel dry noodles before plating to see if there’s any difference.

The best hearts of palm pasta hands down!!
Let's face it. The only food that you'll eat that will taste 100% like pasta, is pasta itself! Period. You have to accept this as reality before you are ready to try any alternative or you will be disappointed with them all! However, if you are looking for a taste and texture that most closely resembles pasta that's low carb, wouldn't spike your glucose level and has low calories, this is for you. If this fits your description, you must try this product! Eating spaghetti squash as an alternative was disappointing to me. Yes, the texture resembled pasta but the taste did not. I've tried other hearts of palm pasta and was left with an acidic after taste. This product has no after taste, no taste at all actually, similar to pasta. It doesn't have the rubbery texture that you'll find with shirataki noodles. This product does however, have more of a bite to it than pasta. It takes on the taste of the sauce and flavors added to them. This is the only product that I've seen to come close to replicating pasta without the cons that comes with eating pasta.

You can WORK with this!
It doesn't have much flavor, just like real pasta. Let me give you a simple idea. It is what's for dinner at my house tonight. Brown a pound of ground beef, and a couple of chopped up links of Italian sausage. Throw in some pepper. a few pepper flakes, garlic, Italian seasoning, diced onion, a a tsp or so of fennel seeds. Drain off the fat. Drain and rinse the noodles in a colander. Dump in 2 packs of the noodles and 2 cans/jars of whatever sauce you have. Let it sit a little while. Put half of the mixture in a 13x9 pan sprayed with nonstick stuff. Add a layer of shredded Mozz. Put the rest of the mixture in the pan and another layer of Mozz on top. Bake at 350 for about an hour. Enjoy. Feeds about 8 people.Always rinse the noodles really well and give them time to drain. Try chicken broth or frying them in a some butter. I use these for a lot of stir fry/Asian type dishes too. Experiment with them. They are so low carb! These have many possibilities!
