The birds love the feeder, holds a good amount of food. Very sturdey.

I ordered a filled bird feeder - no filling! The birds like it, but the jackdaws keep unhooking it, so the bits of suet balls that it's catching (why I wanted it) end up on the ground. Not very successful!

I love this product. I don’t use it in the way shown on the product image. I use to hand beneath caged bird feeders which serves as a seed catcher when the small birds are feeding but also has the advantage of stopping pigeons and other larger birds gorging on the food because they can’t balance on the swinging tray. This has encouraged a multitude of smaller birds to our feeders, with the largest bird feeding being a blackbird who cheekily sits in the tray picking up the waste but he can’t actually reach the feeder itself so all good. Stops the majority of the seed reaching the ground and germinating. Great product.

I bought 2 of these to replace identical ones as they had gone rusty. I was very happy with the old ones, they kept bits of food from landing on the grass and small birds enjoyed sitting in them to eat the bits dropped in there. However, when I unpacked the new ones to hang out today I found that one of them was squashed and the other had only two of the three chains attached, one of the chains had nothing to attach to.I am very disappointed and returning both of them.UPDATE: After looking at other trays and not being able to find anything else that I thought would do, and also after getting fed up of the mess the birds were making on my grass I decided to give the Oakdale ones another try. They came today and are both perfect. As they are mesh they won't hold rainwater and as the three chains can be hung individually or onto one larger hook (supplied) they are easily attached to the bottom of my bird feeders. Most importantly the birds love them.

No objections from the birds - the more of these we hang up the happier they are. Good value.

It hangs nicely under a bird feeder and catches any stray grain,etc.Gives more birds somewhere to perch and eat.As it came apart from base easily It's sturdiness is in question.It was landed on by a jackdaw which didn't help!

As anyone knows, birds are messy, fussy eaters. Seem to lose a 3rd of the feed. These are great for catching that. Gives another bird a chance to feed while others are busy. At my feed station I have more than one species visiting at a time. So ideal.
