Perfect Timing (Harrigan Family)

Too Much About Nothing
I really wanted to like this book. The other books were kind a hit or miss for me. The female character was kinda likable, but Quincy was not my cup of tea. Compared to his brothers I wanted to write this book off as a #metoo and keep it moving. The only reason why I kept going was because I had already spent the money to purchase the book and I was curious to see how far Miss Anderson was going to go with her ridiculous plot. Most of the book seemed to be spent on the ‘first time experiences’ that Ciera was having and it was becoming annoying after a while. Their emotions were forced and sudden (in my opinion) so I would not recommend this to anyone who was looking for an enjoyable read. Not to say that there weren’t cute moments, but this was not up to Catherine Anderson’s standards. I don’t know if she rushed to get this book created or she just didn’t know what to do with Quincy, but she should’ve just stuck with giving him a short story and called it a day.

Not up to CA's normal standard, but had to finish
What I have enjoyed about the Harrigan series is the mystery and suspense intermingled with a sexy love story. This book was not like the others in that regard. It leaned heavily on the supernatural and included Loni but not with much depth. Also disappointing was the scenes with the women talking in detail about their sex lives and visiting a sex toy store together. These people are related for goodness sake. This does not go on in my family. TIM to even think about knowing anything about my brother's sex life. Ewww! I appreciate the deep faith of the characters however and the love and support they show for each other. I had to finish the book and it remained engaging throughout. If you need closure like me read it to close out the series but keep your expectations low.

Catherine Anderson never disappoints!
I was given an advanced copy to read, which was a blessing as I couldn't wait to read it! I would prefer to give this book 4½ stars but this rating system doesn't allow for it.*Catherine Anderson has taken a step out of her comfort zone. She has written a unique plot that I've never read before, and I read a minimum of 3 books a week! As usual her storyline is well written, with an easy flow, and has distinctive characters that pull at your heart. Catherine writes love stories with true romance. I fall in love with the hero every time, and Perfect Timing is no exception. It's one of those books you finish and still think about later. Most important it played on my emotions, I both laughed and cried.Perfect Timing is part of the Harrigan Family Novels and but it is not necessary to read the previous books. However the entire Keegan/Coulter - Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series is a MUST READ and ALL of my Catherine Anderson books are on my keeper shelf.*(I reserve 5 for the best book I've read this year).

Another Keeper!
When I heard that Quincy Harrigan was going to be the hero of PERFECT TIMING, I just knew I had to get it. Quincy's penchant for whole grain, carb free food and healthy living was to the borderline of obsession, and I just KNEW that there was more to him than that. Upon starting the book I was not disappointed! Quincy's journey and reticent acceptance of the facts made this story strong and exciting. Between him and Ceara are bonds and chemistry that all true lovers/ NAY SOULMATES encounter upon meeting. This book gave all the emotions a twist...there was laughter, tears, heart racing intrigue, and just enough out of the ordinary circumstance to make it a complete page turner. ENJOY this book...I give it 5 stars and when I get my print copy it will be proudly displayed right next to Phantom Waltz and the rest of the Harrigan/Kendrick/Coulter series!!

A true blast from the past
I love Catherine Anderson books. I buy them when they appear and I have read them all, I do believe. I especially like the Harrigan Family series.Quincy has quite a surprise coming when Ceara, a druid with many powers, appears out of nowhere from the far distant past in a stall in his stables and tells him the only way he can save his dying sister-in-law, Loni, is to marry Ceara. Now this theme is QUITE a bit different from Anderson's usual fare but I trusted her and got the book based on her name.I am so glad that I did. This was another fun, sexy read by Anderson (and as always, I shed a few tears too).So - be adventuresome and read "Perfect Timing." You won't regret it.

HEN-Tastic
When you read this book, you might think the title of this review worth a chuckle.I was blessed to receive an Advance Review Copy and 5 stars is just not enough. For those of us who have been with Catherine since the very beginning of this series with "Baby Love," it is an amazing and satisfying end. For those who haven't I truly envy you because you get to discover Catherine Anderson and her family(yes)...like Christmas!I have never been much into "time travel" type of stories, unless they are classified as Sci Fi, however, if I can find authors that can bring it to life like Ms. Anderson did in this story, i might become a rabid Time Travel fan.Thank you so much for allowing me...and my daughter, the honor of reviewing your book, she is Sister and I am Mom of the Sister Mom combo.Julie and Denise

Creatively Innovative
I have loved the entire series, but the mystery and intrigue of Loni's clairvoyance and now the exciting arrival of Ceara from the 16th Century and Irish mystique was the perfect wrapping on the gift of seeing into the lives of these awesome characters. I have shed tears, laughed and been so inspired by the world Catherine Anderson creates, I truly feel so blessed to have been reading her books for the last 20± years.

Too ridiculous by far
I have enjoyed all the books in the series apart from this one. Waste of money. Very silly theme and I gave up after reading a quarter of it. Time travelling doesn't fit in with the rest of the series at all!

And have love most of them
I have been a fan of Catherine's for a while now and have read most of her books... And have love most of them... But Perfect Timing is a little far fetch for my liking... I wish CA would go back to the way she use to write as her books were a lot more enjoyable to read....

Different!
Recommended by a friend in Canada I had no idea what this novel was about when I purchased it but enjoyed the different and slightly quirky plot. Made a fun change from the usual "boy meets girl" love story....
