DaiwaTATULA Elite Pitching/Flipping BAITCAST Reel - Hyper Speed

I've been reluctant to move into the high-end baitcaster market for a while now. Man, I wish I would have just dropped the money ages ago. I've been pitching with some cheaper reels in the $75-$100 range from whatever brand I could afford until now. I put the Tatula Elite p/f on my heavy rod, rigged up a jig and trailer, and my jaw dropped on the first pitch.I can't believe how smooth this reel is. I dialed in the spool tension to just about the point where there was no lateral play and set the mag brake to 3. Instantly doubled the distance I was able to confidently and comfortably pitch. The spool is so smooth that you don't have to over power the cast. That means less backlash because the cast can be smoother from beginning to end. And, on top of that, the mag brake seems to do a much better job of controlling overrun at the end than anything I was used to.If you're hesitant, just go for it. This reel immediately changed my pitching and flipping game and I'll never go back. I was skeptical about whether or not the $250 price-range reels were worth the money but I won't doubt it again.

I’ve always liked Daiwa reels. But this one, is one of the best. Spendy, but I promised myself when I got older I would buy quality gear. This is definitely quality gear. Buy one if you flip or pitch you deserve it. Tell your wife I said it was ok.

The reel is good but the seller will charge you restocking fee if you change your mind and return the order.

Excellent flipping and pitching reel, Daiwa blew it out of the water with this series of reels and I'll never go back
