SolarMill Small Bamboo Cutting Board + Basil Garden

Love this. I had one that my boyfriend gave me about 5 years ago that I just retired. Recently replaced it with 2 new ones and I couldn't be happier! Excellent quality! Highly recommend.

The pictures are deceptive. This cutting board is actually quite small; about the size of an iPad. Had this been clear, I would not have paid that much for it.Other than that, this is really well-made, solid small cutting board.If you don't have a cutting board yet, pass on this one because it's too small to use comfortably.If you just need something small for garlic, an onion, et cetera, this one has served us well for years.

Haven't had a chance to grow the basil yet, but the cutting board is nice. It's an awesome size and sits right on top of a larger one I have. I oil it every now and again with mineral oil that you can get from the drugstore (I suggest having the pharmacy special order you a large bottle; I paid 4 bucks for a pretty sizeable one that I use for both my cutting boards)

If you want to give something truly thoughtful to someone you love, this is it! I gifted this to a close friend who loves cooking at home and gets frequent use out of the board. Since she's received it, I've attended a few dinner parties that she has hosted and can see how much she enjoys using it. The board looks great out in the open in her kitchen! She has raved about how versatile it can be – due to its nice, compact, lightweight size it makes it easier to transport freshly-cut items straight from the board to the pot/pan. She hasn't planted the seed paper quite yet but plans to do so in her garden in a couple months. What a neat idea! The board was also made using only solar power, which is a great and unique perk for the eco-conscious consumer and makes for a great conversation piece!I've got to say, when I received this before giving it away I was thoroughly impressed by the handmade craftsmanship and overall attention to detail. It looks and feels great in your hands and deserves to be out in the open in your kitchen for all to see. I'm planning on getting one for myself as soon as possible!

I was a little upset my other bamboo cutting board split in half. I wanted something just right for my tiny kitchen, and was also of good quality. The best investment I made. I use it constantly. Wipe it down spritz it with a vinegar and water mixture and let it dry. It looks the same as when I got it.

Well built and designed....

We live in a house with very little extra counter space. This is the only board I've come across that is a) the right size b) sturdy enough to use c) beautiful in it's own right.It's unique, it's attractive, it's environmentally friendly ( and yes, it comes with basil seeds right in the label :-) )So what's stopping you?Buy This Board!

If you are looking for a small to moderate size cutting board, look no further. This is a fantastic, simple design made with the environment at the forefront (all the way down to the label, which contains a plantable herb garden).While I haven't had this cutting board for a very long time, I have already prepared several meals for my family on it - and on top of that, I planted the label and my kids will be able to enjoy watching the plants grow from it and we will learn about gardening.There you have it; a very functional, simplistic cutting board designed with the environment in mind and packaged with a small herb garden. I plan to buy several for my extended family.
