While the wrist grounding strap with alligator clips that come with the product appear to work just fine, the polymer material from which this anti-static mat is manufactured from gives off a strong, toxic smelling, petrochemical odor. The smell is so bad that even your hands smell like the mat after just touching it.Hoping that the mat's odor would dissipate, I tried to air out the mat in front of an open window for 3 days. This didn't help. Unfortunately, this thing still gave off the same incredibly obnoxious toxic odor as the first day I received it.While the product's description says, "Excellent: Excellent leather material, soft to the touch, convenient and excellent!", it is obviously NOT leather. The description should actually read: "Made of smooth, incredibly toxic-smelling, anti-static rubber material (we assume) that will make your entire home or shop smell like a toxic waste dump!"After several days of trying to deal with the obnoxious smell, I finally just tossed the mat into the trash where it belongs. Good riddance!Not worth the time or the hassle to return it.Buyer beware!
