Secchi
Very high quality product. One of the better secchi disks I have. No fading, centers very well.

It works
Works but not a professional quality. The string is just a string and the plate is pretty thin. It does not like a current or moving waterways. Would suggest upgrading to a marked small rope because the string is gonna become a tangled mess someday.

Don't rely on their measurements!
These things are really well constructed, but my big complaint is the markings on the line. The line is marked at what I assume is supposed to be 1 foot intervals. Well...they need to hire someone who actually knows how to measure! I ordered 11 of these and had to mark all of the lines myself (which I planned on doing anyway). Also...someone should inform United Scientific that when making scientific measurements, most people will be using the METRIC SYSTEM!

Nice Secchi disk
Nice Secchi disk. Sinking weight is heavier than I expected, making measurements even easier. Rope handle is made out of a lightweight foam, which was nice surprise. The flexibility of it will come in handy when dealing with a wet line. Overall, very pleased.

Good quality, lousy assembly - tie your own knot
Really like this secchi disk setup, and would rate it far higher, except after about 8 uses, the factory knot came untied while retrieving the disk after taking a measurement. I would recommend this product, but remember to untie the knot it comes with and reattach the line to the disk with your own.

It get's the job done
An economical tool to check on the algae bloom state. Check the knot and mark the ropes depths the way you like. It gets the job done.
