Seems to work!
We bought this waterer for our potbelly pig Peppa. There was a little trial and error but I think we've got it right now. Advice:Cheap "Medium duty" hose is not strong enough to use with this waterer. The hose got all bulgy and blocked itself. We wound up getting a Bionic Steel Stainless Steel Indestructible water hose and that is working well. Hopefully it will also be piggy-proof. I am sure she will play with it.Don't use a quick-connect fitting. It will probably pop off (this may be partially due to our pig playing with it).You will need a female-to-female adapter as the business end of the hose and the business end of the inlet for the bowl are both male. Use teflon tape.I have a Y splitter on my outdoor hose spigot, so I don't have to disconnect Peppa's waterer in order to use a garden hose. The splitter also has individual shut offs for each side, so I can partially close off Peppa's water's side to prevent excessive pressure. This bowl doesn't come with mounting hardware, but we made do with some stainless steel carriage bolts, washers, and wing nuts from Lowes. It would be nice if the nylon drain nut on the bottom had wings, it's a bit tricky to get ahold of and turn, especially when wet. It's a bit of a PITA to get a wrench every time I want to clean out piggums' water bowl (she is a messy beastie). I may look into the feasibility of replacing it or adding "aftermarket" wings...surely in these days of 3D printing these exist! :-)All said, this seems to be a good product, Peppa likes having a continuous supply of water that doesn't get knocked over or shat in, and I like not having to worry about whether she turned over her water bowl to make bonus mud on a 90+ degree NC summer day. :-)

These have a few issues
I like the size of the bowl and the output of water. But they will leak, my husband fixed that by putting some type of sealer on the bottom plug. I liked the idea of the plug but will just scoop out water in a bucket like I always have had to do. If they could improve the plug leaking issue I would really love them but that’s the only issue that doesn’t work properly.

DO NOT BUY!!!
Drain plug is useless!!! Plastic plug that strips the very first time you attempt to reinstall. The bolt is short or the rubber washer is too big to add to the problem.Water valve leak. Bought three and two out of the three continue to overflow because the valve does not shut all the way. Water pressure is 45 so under max spec.Out of six bolts holding down the covers for the valve assembly, four washers were missing. We bought it because of the drain option that you better not use because you are not going to get it back in more than once....if that. DON'T BUY!!!!!

The hounds seem satisfied and so am I.
I really like this stainless automatic waterer. I’ve had both plastic and galvanized products on the past and they worked well except eventually the galvanized rusted and the plastic got chewed on by my hounds. A stainless version should eliminate both of these issues. Also, this one has a plug in the bottom that allows for easy cleaning without needing to disconnect for the wash down. Though I’ve only had it in place for less than a month, I believe this will be my best yet. The hounds seem satisfied and so am I.

Works perfect! Didn't get all parts
Mounted to wall super easy. Little bit difficult in tracking down the right fittings to run off the water spigot. Did not come with extra float as advertised so if you're buying this to get two don't multiple reviews stating they didn't get the extra one.

Suggest with the hard-piped connection.
Needs better connection for input with the threaded plastic pipe with water hose leaks about drops per second. Tried several layers of Teflon tape on either side on brass adapter and plastic pipe. Will maybe try plumbers putty.

Best Device for dogs!
A life saver!! This thing is so rad! It’s easy to clean and I would know my 18 month old has been playing in it he thinks it’s his sink. I’ve had to clean dirt out of it so my dogs could get clean fresh drinks lol

little over priced
but it saves filling up the water bowl outside everyday. be nicer if the drain plug were a 'push button' type of plug rather than threaded.
