Bounce SUP 11’4″ SUPER CRUISER SUP

This "tech" was used by Surf Tech the past couple of years. I came across it again at a rental shop in Newport, CA. I didn't recognize it was the same material at first but then my girlfriend accidentally dropped it from an upright position and it didn't sustain any damage. Any other board be it foam or epoxy would have either dented, cracked or shattered for sure. I asked the shop owners about them and they told me manufacturer of these actually operates in SoCal and are now self branding as "Bounce". I called em up and went to their factory in Oceanside, grabbed a board and they gave me a factory tour. This is pretty sweet considering that the vast majority of brands get pretty meh quality product from the same manufactures in China, Thailand or whatever. That is not really the selling point here though. The real selling point is that while they are the same weight, performance and feel of epoxies, they are not. They use some other type of process using a totally different type of resin (which is apparently patented) which amounts to high impact resistance and no cracking. It's crazy to think this material wasn't developed 20 years ago because it would have saved everyone a lot of time and money. Grats to these gents but I hope to see this tech applied to surf boards in the future. This is one of the best boards available, hands down.
