Ade Advanced OpticsZantitium RD3-015 Red Dot Reflex Sight for Ruger SR9,SR9C,SR40C,SR40,SR45 Pistol

I purchased the ADE red dot optics for my handgun. Real easy to install on the gun. The optics are great for me. My eyes are not what they used to be. I would recommend this product to anyone who’s eye aren’t 100%.

The adapter that goes into the dovetail is a very loose fit. I don't expect this to hold the sights zeroed for long because it is so loose. I would not buy again.

Walk away. Ade sucks I’ve tried 4. This one shut off after 4 rounds. You can’t buy a cheap optic and have a great one. Sorry.

I purchased the RD3-015 to mount on a Ruger SR9c. I received the Sight and Mounting Plate in Record Time. Prior to the Date projected. In attempting to mount the plate on my handgun I found that it did not fit as I would expect. Quite a Loose Fit and instantly did not think it would stand up to the Recoil. Regardless I used Permatex Blue Loctite and secured it in place. Mounted the Sight on the Mount and was able to take it out to sight in in a couple days later. Blue loctite needs 24 hours to cure. I had a difficult time zeroing the sight in off a bench with a sand bag. I realized that the Mount was not holding the sight in place securely. I returned and read some of the reviews on the ADE Red Dot Sights and found that some people had the same issue and found that Galloway Precision makes a Mounting Plate that Works for a few bucks. $26 to be exact. I ordered the Galloway Plate and mounted the ADE sight on their plate. Returned to our favorite BLM land to sight in the Red Dot. Initially I found that the Actual Red Dot wasn't a Perfect Round Dot as one would expect so I was a little put off with that however was able to sight the gun in quickly and easily. The Galloway Precision Mounting Plate held the sight in place so far with over 200 rounds through the 9mm.Not being really happy with the Optics Factory mounting plate and Not so Perfect Round Red Dot in their sight I wrote an Email to their Sales Department that night. The Following morning I received an Email from Tony, the President of ADE. He explained that; "For the SR22 mount, SR22 series has several dovetail sizes in a slightly different dimension a couple of times under different productions. If there is a gap, please use a shim/spacer to put between the dovetail and plate. It can be a aluminum piece cut from a soda can. Well I was perfectly happy with the Galloway mount so I didn't need to shim the Optics Factory Mounting Plate.In addition Tony gave me Links to a couple of Video's that completely address why I may not be getting a Perfect Red Dot in my RD3-015 Sight. I watched the Video's instantly and found that I (in fact) have a Stigmatism in my Eye Sight that makes the Perfectly Round Red Dot in my New Sight look out of shape.The Video explains other things that affect what you see when using a Red Dot Sight.I must without hesitation give ADE 5 stars for producing an Awesome Wide View Red Dot Sight and my Thanks to Tony for bringing me up to speed on the reasons why I didn't see that Perfect Red Dot when looking through my new sight.One Last Note: Just because the Mount that came with My RD3-015 didn't fit my Ruger doesn't mean that it will Not fit your handgun. If it does---Great. If it does Not. Get ahold of Galloway Precision and for a $26 bucks you will have a Perfectly Fitting Mounting Plate almost Overnight. Galloway install responded to my order and shipped my Plate the same day. It too, arrived prior to the date advertised and they are on the East Coast and I am on the West Coast. It shipped Monday and I received it Wednesday, two days later.All in all, My thanks to Optics Factory for producing such an Awesome Sight. Their quick Response to my Order and special thanks to Tony for his Customer Service Practice.Don't hesitate. Buy the Sight that Fits your application and you will get a Quality Product and Quality Customer Service. Jim, a very happy camper.

This review is for two things. I would give it 5 stars except for the mount. It did not fit correctly it was a little small. I contacted customer service and they answered quickly with using a shim or getting a mount from Galloway Precision. I bought the mount from Galloway it works better. Just remember to use blue loctite on everything and use the longer screws that Galloway sends with it.The red dot is great. Once I was able to zero it in after the mount problem it worked great. I have put over 200 rounds through it and it still holds true. No problem with it as it stays on and true. I liked that the battery is easily removed from the top. So when the optic is mounted you do not have to remove it to replace.In short: save money and buy just the red dot, then buy the mount from Galloway. I use the red dot and would recommend it.
