Ultimate luxury, easy care, heart-stopping price tag
I've had a pair of these in daily use in the master bathroom, and occasionally visiting the guest bath, for more than six years now. They're still as soft and luxurious as the day they arrived. There is just nothing else quite like their soft silk pile and I've tried nearly every other cotton towel there is (the Calvin Klein Resort Bath Sheet from Macy's is a good, if somewhat distant runner-up).In spite of the nearly 500 dollar price tag per pair (the bath towels are sold individually) I think they're worth every penny. With virtually no visible wear so far, I expect they'll last for many more years to come.Caring for them is a snap. I launder them weekly in cold water, gentle cycle, with some surfactant (like Clorox 2 Stain Fighter and Color Booster Free & Clear) - no detergent needed. I dry them briefly, about 30 minutes, in the dryer on low/gentle setting, and let them finish drying completely on the towel rack. They always turn out completely clean and fresh.Occasionally an out of town guest will wipe his freshly-shaved face with one of the towels, leaving blots of blood on it. Once my initial shock and horror subsided I saw that the blots came out effortlessly in the wash, though I did use some Shout Advanced Action Cleaning Gel, just to be sure.I've recently purchased another pair as a wedding gift. Technically not on their registry, but I'm pretty sure they'll graciously accept them. One nit (other than the truly amazing price tag) is that the bath towels are slightly small, 27 x 53 inches, somewhat diminutive even for a standard-sized bath towel. I very much wish that Kumi Kookoon would make a bath/shower sheet size, such as 36 x 72 inches.

Very thin and of no special quality that I can ...
Very thin and of no special quality that I can see. I must have been crazy to pay this much for a towel. I thought it would have some outstanding quality an appearance and texture. I swear it looks and feels no different than a regular cotton towel, only thinner.

I'm Cuckoo for Kumi Kookoon!
I just started a new job, and I'm looking to make a good first impression. Which usually means the impression of my lips on the boss' backside. It's the old "pucker up and trickle down" theory. So I've been shopping for products to keep my proverbial butt smooching sharp.Oh, anyone can wash the boss' car. We've all been there, waxing down the big cheese's Chevy for vacation days or private offices. You're not going to stand out, just by buffing up The Man's Buick. So I went all out. When the time comes for me to hose down the boss' Hyundai, I'm doing it in style with these tres fancy silk towels. The "lush silk pile" gently caresses the curves of the dashboard. The "18 essential amino acids" lovingly ooze down the bumper. The tail pipe regales in the "pure luxury" of these heavenly towels. A menial office chore has never felt so sensual; by the time the car's clean, I've practically dirtied it again.Probably I should go back to washing the car with my clothes on. But these silk towels are just too inviting. Kumi Kookoon, take me away!
