Outdated but still very relevant
If you're looking to get the hard copy but the most recent ones are too pricey, this is a great alternative. The information in it hasn't changed much, and unlike big Robbins, its easier to carry around and still explain the concepts well.

Better than Big Robbins
Big Robins is great if you have all day to read, no class to go to and don't care when you graduate. However for many of us there are not enough hours in the day, Basic Robins is a great book because you still get the fundamental understanding of the disease process without suffering through piles of details that most of us wont remember. Save time, learn more, buy this book.Near the end of my second year in medical school, and I wish I had bought this at the beginning of first year, it is really easy to read and gives you a good understanding of disease that will be discussed.

A good reference
I like the book. I am using it in a grad level patho course. It seems complete. The one thing I will say is the online resources never seem to work when I buy from booksellers here even though the access codes are new and never used. IDK why.

GREAT 2nd YEAR BOOK
We do organ system blocks in 2nd year of med school and I love the amount of information in this book. Through our school we have access to the online "FULL ROBBINS" but it is so dense that it is hard to have enough time to get through. This book is well organized that I can read a few paragraphs about the relevant features of disease and pursue more info if I need to. Highly recommended.

This book is a must have for medical school
I love this book. If you are a medical student it is a perfect amount of information; it doesn't drown you in trivial details but yet it gives you the pathogenesis down to the molecular level. Its easy to read and really helps me remember well with really good pictures and diagrams. I use this as a supplement to my lectures in medical school and I have done very well in pathology. I recommend this book to any medical student, especially with the separate Robbins question book.

Book was exactly as described.
I liked that the product code was still intact and I was able to redeem. Really great purchase!

The best book for Medical School pathology
If you're a med student, this book blows big Robbins out of the water. The problem with big Robbins is that it has WAY too much material, and it is very hard to know what to study for boards and tests. This book however, cuts out the low yield material and gives you exactly what you need to know. It's actually enjoyable to read. Buy it if you want a detailed explanation of high yield pathology concepts!

Okay resource but lots of jargon
I read this book for class but I'm not really sure why. I'm no stranger to medical terminology but the pathology jargon is so thick that it's difficult to understand what's being discussed sometimes, let alone keep you engaged. My teacher mentioned a few terms in the book that we needed to know definitions to and after I looked them up in the book was no closer to understanding their meaning- I would have been better off using Wikipedia. Diagrams and images are good but the small print far outweighs the pictures. Should have bought the eighth edition, practically the same book but much cheaper.
