A Book for Every Senior
If you are near retirement age, are already retired, or have a family member retired, this book is a godsend of information to help plan for a person's final decade or two. Not only is there extensive information, but also many forms to fill out to help you gather the information that is needed. Waiting until you actually need such information is waiting too long. This information you need when you need it.

Clear, practical, and easy to use resource . . .
The the most prominant impression of "The Complete Eldercare Planner, Revied and Updated Edition: Where to Start, Which Questions to Ask, and How to Find Help," is that it is a clear, practical and easy to use resource. I was especially pleased to be able to download worksheet-type pages. Clearly the author makes the content user-friendly and uncomplicated. With hindsight one might say, "Oh, I knew that!" or "Of course, that is what should be done." Yet, in the throes a demanding or stressful situation, it is reassuring to have access to this practical guide. What useful reminders; I appreciated have my memory jotted. Indeed, there seemed to be some overlap among the lists; this was probably inevitable. From medical issues to legal concerns, this has been an invaluable resource.

The Complete Eldercare Planner
As an interior designer, with an emphasis on assisting people with physical challenges, knowing some of the complexities in coping with an older family member or neighbor is very helpful. This book offers many suggestions on dealing with needs of older people. Having to assist them as they make difficult decisions regarding their living situation, financial, healthcare and other needs offers a starting place to address them. This book emphasizes elders, but the needs are the same for a person of any age who is seeking guidance in making the right choices.

Incredible book that will brighten up a caretaker's life!!!
Most resourceful book for me who has to act as a caretaker for my elderly parents via long-distance. This book goes over so many considerations and options on taking care of seniors. I can't decide on a favorite chapter. The chapter on senior housing options seemed to finally set me straight on this confusing subject. I also love how it deals with matters of quality of life and even suggests gift ideas for seniors that I will be sure to follow-up on (I had never heard of a "family website," for example, before this book.) Congratulations and thank you to Joy Loverde for taking the time to put-together this comprehensive, starter book on this complex and yet vitally important subject for all of us who find ourselves needing to take care of someone elderly at some point.

Good Resource but Not Worth Upgrading
I was hoping for a new format, lots of new information, and a bit paired down book. When I got was almost a virtual copy of the version I purchased years ago. Had I known that I probably would not have purchased, as the previous one said updated and revised. I see very little updated and revised on this addition. The book is helpful, but there is so much information, I will never have time to work all the way through it. For this to be useful and worth the cost, it needs to be marketed to a younger crowd and helping them understand what to do Long before they face EldercareThere are resources and information.

The book title and content actually match.
I read many books on senior issues and being organized. In my opinion, this is better than most. (I am talking about the book not the Kindle version.) It is worth every penny for the line it gives on page 13 - Which is "Be prepared for the runaround." It is a book to be savored not gulped. Think textbook. Does it address every possible care giving/aging scenario-no. But the advice it gives is infinitely beter than the competition.

More than satisfied
Twelve years ago I purchased an earlier version when dealing with an older relative - long distance. I read it on a 7 hour plane ride and was so much better prepared to ask the right questions and look for/ ask for services I needed to help my relative. It was a tremendous help. The checklists, pointers and websites were invaluable during a very difficult time. I have lent it to a number of my co-workers (I'm in HR). I recently purchased three copies of the latest edition, two for my work and one to keep personally.
