It works!
It is small and frankly I wasn’t expecting much but surprised. It’s made well and works. The only issue is a glitchy off/on button so I use a straw to poke around. I have an issue with garbage smells, they are difficult to escape or mask with sprays. So, I stuck this little guy to the inside of the lid to my kitchen garbage can and every time I drop in some garbage I turn this on for 15 min. No smell and I can fill up the bag.I’m going to buy more in the future and create a bag I can drop items in and clean. I’m also interested in larger units I can put in a closet or my bathroom.Highly reconmend!

Easy to use, but read up on how to use it effectively
I have been sanitizing my phone, toothbrush, sports paddle, and even my bathroom. I do notice that the bathroom smells fresher if I position the sanitizer around the room in a number of spots. However, this unit really only is supposed to work well close up. Since you can't see if I actually disinfects, I'd double up and sanitize things other ways as well. And if you read about these small units in general, they may only work well on some surfaces -- like I'm wondering the cloth=type cover on my cell phone, if the UV light can penetrate it to disinfect. Better than nothing for sure. I like the idea of it, too, and I hope it works!

Leap of faith
Who knows if it works? How can you really tell? But I'm willing to believe it does. Smaller than I expected but pictures and descriptions are accurate if you pay attention. Range according to info is one to two feet but it's designed for close use or small spaces. Comes with a fairly long USB charging cord. Seems well made. Sensor works well. Can be turned on manually or set to come on every 24 or 12 hours automatically. After pushing button there is a slight delay before it comes on. Stays on about 15 minutes. Enough velcro for three spots. Velcro I received is bigger than pictured.

Originally a dont buy UPDATE AND MORE STARS
My original review, which i left below, needs udating and i went from 1 star to 3. Not wanting to rely on a test i saw online involving a banana, i purcahsed a UVC detector card right here on Amazon. I re-tested and it actually does work. I couldn't give it 5 stars because it drops off dramatically at about a foot but it could stll be effective for small items like remotes or inside a show but i doubt its effectiveness at larger jobs like toilets and rooms.Original review :I recently came across a video showing how to check if your UVC light is real or not. Use a banana, mask off a couple of sections and place the light on top. I did this test for 3 ten minute cycles for 30 total minutes and, as you can see, nothing changed. A REAL UVC light will make a brown spot on the exposed peal. There was absolutely no difference using this light. Please do not buy this item! It will not work and you could put yourself in danger thinking this has sanitized anything. Especially with everything going on this year! Protect yourself, stay safe, and under no circumstances should you trust your health to this garbage.

Easy and convenient makes it a great buy!
I love this UV sterilizer! I use it both in a box (12" x 10") and also any other place I need to use it. I read quite a few reviews and got a couple of great ideas: 1. place it in a box and attach it to the lid by velcro that comes with it2. Line the box with tin foil to increase the strength. If I need to disinfect something larger, I remove it from the lid and place it in a closet. One other note: I wasn't sure about the tin foil, so I called customer service. The woman who answered was pleasant and reassured me about using the foil in the box. I forgot to ask her a question about placing a tablet in the box, so I sent her an email. She quickly answered me and said that I needed to place it a foot away, so I'm glad I didn't place it in the box with my phone, masks and keys.I lifted the lid just slightly to see if it was working...it was!

doesn't work
I charged up this UV light and it came on the first time I tried it. It did not come on again. I recharged and have tried a few times on different days. The blue light flashes but no one's home, so to speak. Don't purchase.

Mini uvFRESHRNot as described
The light switch requires digging with findernail. The light does not work with all USB cables. With some cables it does not show that it is charging nor that it is charged. The only way to know when to re-charge is if it stops working. The Mini does NOT have an IR sensor detecting animals or people. The sensor detects any movement including small vibrations. Cannot use it in places (e.g. moving car) that vibrate or create any movement of the device with respect to surrounding. As described it only works for 15 minutes every 24 hrs or 12 hrs and there is no indication if it did work. If you want it to work at the set time every day - this is not a device for you. It is a pity that the device does not have removable batteries - so it is out of use for 3-4 hours every time you need to charge it.Otherwise looks cool and the mfg support is happy to answer in full sentences in English.

Sterilize your mask, car keys, sun glasses, etc
I bought this product in February to prepare for the pandemic. I like its size and the fact it is portable and rechargeable. I have it set up in a small wooden box with velcro in the lid of the box--I had to apply extra glue to hold the velcro because the weight of the light pulled the strip off but that works. When I come home from a very rare outing, I put my mask, phone, car keys, sun glasses, (and winter gloves back in the winter) in the box, press the on switch, signal light comes on, shut the lid. I also sterilize a small purse front and back. Hospitals are using UVC lights to sterilize masks, so if this is indeed a UVC light as stated, then my belongings should be in safer condition. It is easy to recharge. When I can travel again, I plan to take it with me. I have been using it since February with no problem but probably only once a week for several 15 minute sessions.
