For those who are not familiar with pre-cat lacquer, it is what some professional cabinet makers use to finish their products. It is a two-part lacquer but pre-mixed or pre-catalyzed before being put in the can. Unlike epoxy, it has a working life of months in the can. It is much more durable that regualar nitrocellulose lacquer offered at big box stores in the paint aisle. Caution: This material is extremely flammable and the fumes are powerful. Wear a respirator mask with cartridges when spraying it. If you can smell the fumes with your respirator on, you don't have the right type. This stuff is nasty. Use in a well-ventilated area. It dries in to the touch in a matter of minutes and can be recoated typically in less than an hour. This is a professional finish that requires a sealer base coat in most instances. If you have never used this you should read about it on the Internet. If you educate yourself you can achieve a pro-like finish on your next woodworking project like the walnut vanity and medicine cabinet in the pictues. The glare off the medicine cabinet doesn't really show the dead flat nature of the finish, which is preferred on most modern cabinets.

Flat and perfect finish with no let down. Just make sure your prep work is where you need it to be.

This brand and this product in particular are really good. The dead flat finish is easy to achieve with this spray cans. A couple of layers is just enough. Wish they could ship these overseas.

I found this product recommended to me on a FB Group. It proved to be as good as recommended. The dead flat has a remarkable appearance.

I laid down two coats, sanded to 400 grit, then shot one final coat with no post sanding. I think the photo speaks for itself. Outstanding product.
