This is a great book for kids (and adults) to learn about the history, flora, and fauna of the Turks and Caicos Islands. I homeschool my children, ages 7 and 9, and we are planning a trip to the Turks and Caicos so I bought this book as a way to teach the children about the islands before our visit. It is colorful and has beautiful pictures. It is broken into small sections, so it is easy to read just a few pages each day. I think reading this ahead of time will lead to a richer, more educational travel experience.

I love the beautiful colorful pictures in this book. I have taken my family to Turks & Caicos several times and had the most amazing time. The natives are so kind, loving, and hospitable.

This is SUCH a great book, and not just for kids! We really enjoyed learning the basics about Turks & Caicos Islands' history and culture before our trip. There should be books like this for every destination! It was a doable read for the grownups and interesting enough for our elementary aged kids, too. We referred to the descriptions of fish during our trip after snorkeling. Really a gem of a book.
