Outset Bacon Press, 6.75 Inches, Metallic

I am a decent cook and have struggled for a long time to make burgers taste likeSteak n' Shake does em. My meat press did it, voila! I cured the press via onlineinstructions so it's non stick, easy to clean (no soap) to stay non stick. I found theless I handle or press the ground beef before it enters to hot skillet the better.I crack fresh pepper on it first, drop it in the pan, press firmly for thin style( the way I like em) for about 2 minutes each side add my cheese ...and salt afterit's on the bun. Salting beef before you cook it dries meat out, learned that from myGrampa who worked at Armour Meats for 30+ years. Does bacon up great. Luv ma Bacon Press!

Great weight and good size

Exactly what I was looking for. Helps the bacon to cook perfectly and evenly. It could be a little bit longer, but I just moved it to either end of the frying pan - no big deal. I hand washed and air dried it and it does not rust and none of the metal has flaked off, which I was concerned about after reading reviews for some of the other bacon presses. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this bacon press to make smash burgers and it works great! Make sure you spray nonstick spray on it and no problem. I will also use it for bacon, maybe other things I love it.

I thought I would want one of these to press my bacon down in the pan turns out I don't want one of these they're heavy and cumbersome to use. And just seems like he really don't need it to push the bacon down it's a cool looking product and would look nice if somebody wanted to decorate with it. But using it for bacon only is what I bought it for and I don't use it for that.

I am very pleased with my bacon press. My sweet husband likes thick meaty bacon, which is almost impossible to cook evenly. I solved the problem with this little item. It is cast iron so it's a little tricky to clean, but a little soaking in hot soapy water then rinse and let it completely dry before storing and it is ready for another cooking session. I think anyone who still really cooks daily will find this product does what it is made to do--make bacon behave in the frying pan.

I was careless when I ordered and didn't realize it was smaller than one I currently have. Was a gift, and ran out of time to exchange it for the larger one. I find it to be an essential in my kitchen. Great for getting that perfect crust on a grilled cheese, or reducing curling and spatters when frying bacon. Have used it to weight meat when searing as well. Will last a lifetime. Mine is 30 years old and is still as useful as the day I bought it.

This was given as a gift to my parents for a family party that we were having. My parents wanted to have a bacon press, so we went around town trying to find one. No one in town had one. I found this one and put my order in quickly. It came the day of the party, just in time and we used it to grill our sandwiches on the tabletop griddle. Now we use it for both sandwiches and bacon. Perfect weight and does the job.

We've been using this for a few months now. It is absolutely fine, adding that little extra pressure and preventing the bacon from curling. After use we always clean carefully and dry on a kitchen radiator

Incorrect size

Excellent product. Have been looking for one of these for some time. Heavy enough for the job also good for keeping recipe books open, tho' not at the same time as cooking bacon.
