5 Star review Plus Book Club Questions for Face to Face With Jesus
Face to Face with Jesus: A Former Muslim's Extraordinary Journey to Heaven and Encounter with the God of Love by Bodie Thoene and Samaa Habib is worth reading. One of the best books I've read on conversions, this true story details persecution unlike anything we might imagine here in America. While this is a true story, the locations and names (including the names of the author, her family and friends) have been changed to protect the safety those involved. This is the story of one woman's spiritual journey. Her personal encounter with Jesus is a supernatural experience rarely shared this side of eternity. Powerful and raw emotions spill into the pages and the book is so captivating I could not put it down. After reading the book, I had a better understanding of the cultural and religious differences and a clear picture of living in wartime conditions. This book is so inspiring you'll want to get the printed copy and share it with family and friends. Since the time I started reading it until the time I finished it, I was sharing what I was learning with anyone who would listen. Additionally, I was praying for a faith like Samaa's...once that is unmoved by her environment and in constant synchronization with Jesus. Fasting, praying, tithing and loving the LORD.BOOK CLUB QUESTIONS FOR FACE TO FACE WITH JESUS#1 What cultural differences did you learn that you were previously unaware of prior to reading the book?#2 Is there a particular event in the book that captured your heart and left an impression?#3 What is your opinion on Samaa's encounter with Jesus? WAIT!!!! Don't Pass this Book up!
I read a lot of books, yet this one stands out! Originally I purchased this book as God directed me to buy it for a Muslim friend I was witnessing to. I decided to read the book even though it was someone elses gift and I couldn't put it down. I thought the book would just be a detailed account of a vision with Christ, which would be great, however it is a story that walks you through the main characters christain journey up until her encounter with Christ. The encounter is amazing, but honestly this book would have been just as good with or without the heavenly visit. It may sound strange but the majority of the book is our Journey with her as she battles obstacles and learns of God. Her journey resembles that of the Apostle Paul as she is chased out of villages preaching the Gospel and it mirrors the book of Acts with the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. I must say this book challenged me to step my spiritual game up as she has faced and overcome more challenges than I have thought possible for a lifetime and she probly was just in her mid twenties at the end of the book. If God wills it would be a honour to meet someone who has walked such a biblical lifestyle in modern times. If you're wondering if you should buy the book... STOP. Buy two. This is literally now my favorite book, it stands above the pact, not only in the story and content, but in the skill and intriguing style it is written. I have purchased dozens of books on amazon, maybe one every two to three months over the last couple years, but i promised my friend that I had to write my first review since this book is so outstanding!

Heartrending yet truthful even when describing the savages of war, inspirational and one story all Christians should read
This was a wonderful true story of a young Muslim woman who first saw Jesus in a dream. Later when she wanted to take martial arts lessons, the teachers said it was free, but they would share their testimony about Jesus before the lessons. She was struck by the truth of their message and became a Christian, however, her family didn't know about it until later when they were furious with her. She endured a terrible beating at the hands of one brother, but refused to recant. As a Christian, she puts me to shame, for her devotion is absolute and unshakeable. Much of the book is about her life in a war torn country (which is not identified) and her resolution to bring her family to Jesus. Jesus unfailingly answers all of her prayers. Later, while attending church, some men came and planted bombs in the building, one of which exploded right when she was passing. She was rushed to the hospital, but she died where she came Face to Face with her Lord. She elected to return so that she might save her family. I have recently talked with missionaries from Africa and they tell me that Jesus is appearing to many Muslims in dreams, so that none will be lost. This book makes me want to be a better Christian, a more faithful and dutiful one, and I am thankful for Samaa's story which inspires me.

Nice message
This book tells an amazing story but it’s written in a way where it feels like it’s for low level readers. Like maybe it needed more time for revisions before being published.

An amazing testimony to be shared
This is a book every believer should read. What a challenge to those of us who are free to worship our Lord Jesus Christ.I was certainly challenged as I read the story of Samaa. Here courage as a young child to accept Christ as her Saviour in itself was amazing let alone her knowledge of what would happen to her if it was found out she was a Christian - nothing seemed or still seems to deter her from doing what she has been called to do. We, here in Australian have no idea what it means to be persecuted for our faith and to stand totally on the promises of God every moment of every day.

Amazing!
The powerful, deeply involving story of a young girl, brought up a Muslim, who heard the Christian message through the courage of an American soldier. Her family was caught up in a war which ruined them financially and threatened their lives. Through desperation and raw courage, they survived and the story of the family's struggles and the persecution faced by Muslim converts to Christianity is both harrowing and profoundly moving. As others have said, I really could not put the book down and I began to plan who else I could give a copy to. A must-read, beautifully written by Bodie Thoene and quite unforgettable.

Ausgezeichnet
Das Buch ist hoch interessant, ich konnte es kaum beiseite legen. Es ermutigt einen, den Glauben sehr ernst zu nehmen und man wird daran erinnert, dass es Länder gibt wo Christ zu sein kann alles kosten.
