Do not buy. They are awful.
The worst marzipan I ever had. So disappointed because it was a gift to my elderly mother (usually her favorite) and she could not finish one piece. They do not look as nice as the picture - the shapes are ugly, bottoms flat and inconsistent. They all taste the same, are hard, have no fruit flavor, and are sickening sweet. I would love to return the bit into and spit out pieces.

A must have
I purchased this for my mother every year. My mother LOVES Marzipan. I like it too but not as much as she does. Growing up there use to be a little store on E. 86th Street in NYC that we use to go to every Thanksgiving to buy the freshly made Marzipan. Of course they're no longer around. My grandmother's in-laws use to send us Marzipan and Ginger Cookies every Christmas from Germany. This is about as close to that as you can get. Besides 18 pcs for $9.99. Can't beat the price either. That little store use to charge a dollar a piece and that was back in the 70's/80's when the dollar was expensive. So I highly recommend it. You will not be sorry.

Poorly made, do not buy!
I love marzipan, so didn't mind paying a higher price for this item. What I received was either old or just very poorly made. The paper wrapping for each piece was stuck to the point that it could not be removed completely, and in some cases most of it remained stuck, thereby rendering the piece almost inedible.

DELICIOUS!!! Thank you!!!
I have loved marzipan for decades and have eaten a lot of it over the years. When I was a kid, I made my own from almond paste and gave it to my great-grandmother for Christmas. I have to say that this is the best marzipan I have ever had. It is soft like cookie-dough and super fresh! I am enjoying every bite and hope the next batch is just as good because now I am spoiled! Thanks, so yummy . . .

Stale hard candy
this was surprisingly stale, even though it was wrapped in plastic wrap on top of the usual packaging. Worst marzipan I've had, hard and stale tasting.

Far too sweet, in an artificial flavor
Nothing close to the real thing I was accustomed to growing up in Norway. Far too sweet, in an artificial flavor.

It was ok. Had Better
Seemed a little dry and like some other reviewers have said very sweet. I have been spoiled with imported German marzipan I suppose and so I was expecting something to be less sweet and more almond tasting. And definitely something that was not as dry as this was. It wasn't so dry that it was inedible but it was on the drier side for sure. And not like some of the German marzipan I had been used to. If you aren't a Marzipan connoisseur then it will probably be just fine. It arrived on time and the box was presentable and the 'fruit' looked lovely.

Sad
So sad, these were hard and smelled weird. I think they were old. The taste was barely there. Luckily Amazon refunded me as I just threw them away.
