Good for Older Games, Lazy Newbies
This is a decent but somewhat flawed system. The controls are responsive, the graphics look sharp and the sound is decent. The thumbpads work well for arcade games. Most of the games work but due to the nature of emulation there are some that don't. This is not the fault of the people who made this system, it's just how it is with these old games. Some games have never been able to play on emulators due to how they were originally programmed. The flaws are in the processor speed and the screen size. This device is not powerful enough to play the more graphics-intensive games that are loaded on to it at full speed, and the screen is too small to see details well, especially in the arcade emulators. You can probably solve the small screen issues by buying an aftermarket magnifier, but the lack of processing power will still be a problem. There is an RG350H available with a more powerful processor that is better able to play the more demanding games, but it lacks L2 and R2 buttons so it too has it's flaws. If you don't know anything about computers or emulation and just want to play games from the 32bit and earlier generations (NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy Advance and so on) this is an ideal console in all ways. If you are buying this for someone who is into older retro games but not good with computers this will probably make them happy.BUT, if you are good with computers, or if it's a gift for someone who is good with computers, if you are experienced with emulation and portables and updating firmware and installing your own ROMs, and if you want to play MAME, FBA, Playstation 1, Dreamcast, Nintendo DS, N64, GameCube and so on, I don't recommend buying this. In that case you would be better off finding a good Android phone and loading it with ROMs and emulators. This will be much easier than wrestling with the RG350's somewhat annoying filesystem and updating system, your device will run more games and run them more smoothly, and your screen will be 40% or more larger. The downside is that it will not be as small or easy to slip into a pocket because of needing an external controller. The upside to an external controller is that if your controller gets messed up you can simply buy a new one. With the RG350 if your controls get messed up the device becomes less and less useable unless you can fix them somehow. The best cheap Android phone for emulation that I know of is the WIKO Ride, which at the time of writing this can be found for $40 at Walmart. With a quad-core 2ghz processor it is roughly twice as powerful as the RG350 for half the price, although you will need to buy a bluetooth-enabled controller and a microsd card so it will end up costing about the same as this.If you can afford it a better option is the OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro phone, which you can find for $500 - $700 currently if you shop around. These are newer flagship phones that will more consistently run Dreamcast, GameCube, PS1 etc. That would be an insanely high price for a portable emulation machine, but it doubles as a top-of-the-line phone and camera that is competitive with a Galaxy S10+. So if you look at it as $250 for one of the best portable emulation devices available and $250 for an excellent smartphone the price may be a little more palatable. There are quite a lot of devices in between these two, if you look on youtube you'll find many videos of different Android devices being used for emulation and can judge how well they run before you buy. You might also consider purchasing a fast Android tablet for the larger screen, or going with a Windows tablet/laptop for Playstation 2 emulation, or combining one of the above with a 15 inch battery-powered portable monitor for real luxury. As far as the ROMs included with this RG350 there seems to be a mostly-complete set of NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, Genesis, Megadrive, NeoGeo, NeoGeo Pocket, PC-Engine, and WonderSwan ROMs, 1000 or more each of FBA and MAME arcade ROMs, some random games including Quake 2, a couple OpenBOR games, a few dosbox games and a few PS1 ROMs but the arcade and PS1 games don't always run well. You can manually add Amiga, scummvm and other emulators+ROMs if you have basic computer skills. Adding other dosbox games is possible but they do not usually detect the controller so unless there's some way to emulate a mouse on this they will load but not all be playable. One other thing I'll note is that most of the games won't save like they normally would, but you can usually find a "save state" option in your in-game emulator settings that will allow you to save your progress. This actually works better for most games because you can save literally at any time, even mid-battle, and it will load exactly where you saved. It also comes with a few mp3s and FLACs including a random Michael Jackson track and a short animated avi video about anthropomorphic food. Seriously. To sum up, if you don't know what you're doing and you don't care about emulating the newer systems or upgrading firmware, buy this, you'll probably love it once you learn to navigate the menus.Otherwise buy a good phone, a bluetooth controller and a microsd card and load everything yourself. I ended up giving this system to one of my non-techie friends and going the Android tablet route for myself. The Galaxy Tab S6 plays most GameCube, PSP etc games pretty well.**Update:**The friend I gave this to says the RG350 does not make a good mp3 or mp4 player. He had to buy a separate mp3mp4 player. His mp3s don't advance to the next track and his adult movies (lol) mostly come up as still images. Just an fyi.

Not easy to use.
Don’t get this handheld unless you’re familiar with computers and can do a little guesswork on getting games to work. The hardware is great just the software is a bit screwy. (update:)Well, after only a few hours of play, my device kicked the bucket. It refuses to power on, reset, etc. just a faint green light that refuses to power off. Perhaps all those crashes from the non-working games (many bad dumps) that were loaded in it.

The best thing ever
Wow, wow, wow. Thank you Dreamhax. It has everything and then some. All Games the whole nine yards. I am speachless. I now have my whole child hood in my hands, even the TurboGrafx has all games. Hoping for fantasy zone and got two Japanese and united states versions. I'm so pleased I'm about to burst. Thank you again.
