Killed old dog pee
This worked great for the mess we bought to remodel. This room had, had dogs locked in it and the wood floors were absolutely ruined. We tore out the wood floor and Kilz'd the sub floor (that also had pee odor damage) before putting down new sub floor. This went on easy with a roller and coverage was good with no serious odor. Not sure of the dry time, as I left after doing all the floors in the house, as all rooms had some dog pee damage. I think I used 3 gallons on a 750 sq ft house, doing 2 coats just to make sure we got it all.

Did the job!
I was replacing old carpet with LVP. There were several areas that had some "pet damage". Once we ripped out the carpet, we realized the damage to the subfloor was more severe than we thought. We cleaned it several times with vinegar, bleach, and enzyme cleaner to no avail. I didn't want to replace the subfloor if I didn't have to considering the price of plywood these days.I bought a can of Kilz Restoration Primer and applied one coat. The next day, the smell was GONE!All for less than a 4x8 sheet of plywood! It has been 2 months, and there is absolutely no odor!LOVE THIS STUFF!

Must have for pet odors & serious restoration
The media could not be loaded. We’re finishing our basement after using it as the cat’s litter box room for a year. Needless to say it needed major cleaning + primer. Before painting the floors & walls we used this Killz primer ALL over & are doing the walls next - this stuff did the job! No odor, no stains, crazy coverage. We did two coats to be safe but odor was gone with just one. 5 gallons went a LONG WAY. 10/10 recommend - worth every penny & will restore the surface like NEW. This is for the nastiest of jobs.

Best product for smoke, orders, & coverage.
Loved this, had a small fire and needed to deodorize and cover smoke damage I did not clean the room first , I just painted with restoration the wall looked great there was no smoke odor and water clean up -- 1 note Make sure to clean up as soon as possible. If you wait it is really a pain !

Worked better than expected
I bought a house that had pet odor before I moved in. I figured I would clean it up when I moved in and never gave it much more thought. The carpets were professionally cleaned right before I moved in. Long story short there was always a strong nasty pet odor. I was able to smell it down to the carpet and I tried everything to clean it. from shampooing, vinegar, baking soda, ozone, store bought cleaners, nothing worked. The first year I was unable to open my windows because any humidity that got in that room resulted in the carpet just spewing a horrible odor so bad you could almost taste it. So I gave in and pulled all of the carpet, I found that there was an old tile floor underneath (maybe asbestos floor), and I thought that was good because it sealed the subfloor. when I pulled up the carpet I found stains that were feet in diameter and the smell was almost to unbearable to proceed. but I got it all out, soaked and scrubbed the floor thoroughly a couple times and figured I would just let it air out. Well after about another year of trying to let it air out and dissipate while still cleaning it, I was still unable to open my windows. The smell was better but still there. living in an older house with a crawl space and uneven floors, leveling the house to replace subfloors was not even in financial consideration. So researching for about a year on what to do while the smell was still there, they only thing that seemed like it was guaranteed to work was kilz restoration. The floor is a very shiny smooth tile. Due to the possibility of it being an asbestos floor, I did not sand or prep in any way besides cleaning it one last time. I purchased the kilz adhesion and that was my first layer. I let the adhesion dry for about 2 hours then applied a thick layer of the kilz restoration. The smell was disappearing as I was rolling it on. After the floor was completely covered another few hours of drying and I was able to walk on it. I do have pets, that are trained and house broke, so I kept the room blocked off for about a week to allow it to completely dry. Waiting to be 100% sure this stuff worked before considering putting carpet back in, after a week I unblocked the door ways. There was a very strong ammonia smell along with a weird paint smell for about a 3 weeks, but I am now able to open my windows and all of that is fading and there are no hints of that original pet smell remaining. While trying to figure out carpet the room has been open and between the dog chasing the cat and sliding around, and me walking on it with my work boots, there has not been any chipping or scraping at all, it is getting dirty though. From my experience this is a very strong, durable layer that will cover almost anything. This is not intended for foot traffic so you do need to cover it, but I am very impressed with the overall result and how strong it is. So far this to step layer has solved all of my problems and I now have carpet scheduled to be put in.

Very thin
This isn't really a complaint, just something to be aware of: the consistency of this is very thin and watery, unlike regular paint, so be aware of that when applying--it drips easier than interior paint. Works great, though and covers surprisingly well for how thin it is.

Great new product
Love this paint product. I use it on my basement cement floor and walls. I applied one coat before applying their masonry paint. It has helped to keep my walls and cement areas bright white, clean and insulated from stains and mildew , etc. this paint go’s on smooth and spreads well to cover a large area. I’m a very happy customer.
