This is a really inspiring book to have in your creative section of your library! LOL

Pictures are beautiful

I was hesitant to purchase this book after reading the reviews on amazon but I am glad I did. I was also concerned that the book would be full of brand new items that were faked into looking like vintage. While that may very well be the case, I did not get that impression upon viewing the lovely images in the book. There is so much inspiration! There was a bit of everything I love in the pages: a photo of Frida Kahlo, vintage Native American Turquoise jewellery , baggy denim (even Levi's!), clothing items reminiscent of vintage Japanese indigo, white cotton eyelet fabric, wabi sabi wooden furniture and dishes and of course lots of hats. I just LOVED all the hats. The only thing I did not appreciate was the repetition in many of the photos. It would have been nice to have had more new images instead. It is also a very quick read but one I will be going back to very often!

So, for $40 I'm not sure this book was really worth that. I LOVE Robin Brown, but I'm one that would NEVER wear her fashions. So, even though the book had colorful, vibrant pictures, I was hoping for more decorating design ideas. I DO admire her Artistic elements, but guess I was a little disappointed.

This book is exquisitely BEAUTIFUL! As an artist and writer I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist but this book is PERFECTION. True to the nature of the artist that created it and I believe that in itself is the highest form of praise. The text and the fonts compliment the images beautifully. Magnolia Pearl's designs are the stuff dreams are made of. Her artistic genious is evident in every single page of this gloriously enchanting book.Marisol Espaillat Pineda - author of Chances

One of the greatest things about Robin and John and Magnolia Pearl is that their website, first book, and magazine features offer pictures and print which are just so darn inspirational!! This book is no exception. One of the other reviewers asked if she could live within this book and I know exactly what she means! Once you are lost in it's pages, you feel so ready to step outside the safe cocoon you may have been living and dressing in.After completing this book, I splurged and ordered one of their items from one of the vendors that carries their clothing and it is wondrous - I will wear it with pride. If you have been a fan of theirs I strongly recommend this book as it too will amaze and please.

As a follower of Robin and her beautiful creations I knew I had to have this book ! It arrived today and I absolutely adore every page already 😍. I love the quality of the paper and the format of the pages and will be drooling over all the pictures and reading all the beautiful words for a very long long time !
