It does what it's intended do to
I bought this scale in a rush because I had ordered some nootropics and I accidentally purchased powdered instead of capsuled. I used to weigh out and capsule my own powders in the past, but it was just easier to buy the capsules since I was only using one type of supplement. This scale is accurate for its intended purpose. It's small, convenient, rechargeable (major plus), and it's about to be calibrated with other weights that may be more accurate. If you need to weigh out substances that are not within the 1-5mg range, then this is a great scale to use. I've used everything from $10.00 0.00g- $1000 0.0000g scales and I am happy with this little piece. The only downside is it comes with only one calibration weight and the build is cheaper.

Be very careful and do not drop it!
I used this to measure out flea medications for my dog. There's a bit of a learning curve to using it if you measure extremely small amounts because the numbers fluctuate in the thousandths place after a few seconds (eg for 0.123g the 3 fluctuates). After a few tries I was able to do it quickly enough that the numbers didn't change. It worked great until I accidentally dropped it while it was closed and inside the fabric pouch. Sucks that now it's broken and unusable. I either get some kind of error message or it doesn't measure correctly. Be super careful and do not drop it!

Inspect after unpacking!
On the first day of unboxing the scale I tried everything to make it work: charged the battery fully, set on level granite slab, calibrated it 3 times. Nothing I tried would bring it to zero. Tare wasn't working. Weights way off and not repeatable. Finally decided to return and got so far as to get a return label. Then I thought I'd go over it one more time to see if I missed something. Long story short a tiny bit of metal tape was found between the shiny metal weigh pan and the top of the plastic housing. Removed with tiny tweezers. After that everything has worked flawlessly. Calibrated fine. Tare button just takes a few seconds. The scale seems to dampen in about 3-4 seconds. As expected it was affected by the furnace coming on but when it went off it dampened out right away and returned the tare weight to zero.I bought this as a double check to weighing reloading charges however it is so efficient I may use it to do the actual weighing and use the other scale as the check. One drawback for this purpose is that it is advertised as accurate to within .001 gram which is .015 grain. HOWEVER, when you switch mode from gram in thousandths to grains, it only reads in tenths. This doesn't sound like much but when working with the difference between 3.2 and 3.3 grains (32 auto) or 4.6 and 4.8 grains (.455 Webley), more accuracy is important. By converting the grains to grams I can take advantage of the half tenth of a grain accuracy rating of the scale. That would at least tell me if the charge is closer to 3.2 or 3.3.I tested the scale at 5,10,15,20,25 and 50 grains. At 5 grains it is within 1.4%. At 10 grains it is within 0.4%. The rest were within 0.2%. That combined with the quick dampening rate result in a very useable tool. If the grain mode had the extra digit (hundredths) it would be a 5 star tool!

Rechargeable milligram scale
One of the very few that are rechargeable and millegram. I've found it to be very accurate and have had no issues with it sitting on my counter and measuring accurately with my ice machine churning out ice. Quite portable, being rechargeable, without the extra big plastic cover. Perfect for my needs.

Battery issues
Right out of the box the battery would not charge. I tried all of the charging methods the instructions showed as well. I was able to test it out some with what little charge it did have from the manufacturer. The readings were very inconsistent, even after calibrating. Also, the thing would sometimes just shut off right after I turned it on. That being said, this could all be due to the low battery level. Maybe you'll have better luck getting one with a good battery and not experience these issues. One last thing...to me, it feels like a cheaply made plastic toy or novelty item. Then again, I guess cheaply made plastic toys cost about the same now days, so there you go.

Cheap but works great!
A cheap milligram scale for sure. Wouldn't trust it with my life but gets the job done. Battery seems pretty small but it doesn't need to be big unless measuring is your job but then you would get a better scale eh? Charge port is a little off center but it still gets in there and charges... also don't use a fast charger on it because it did not work for me. Also if you loose your calibration weight 4 CLEAN pennies (cant emphasize the cleanliness more) that's years are after 1983 with sub as a sub par calibration weight. It passed and when I took the pennies off it was off by 1mg.
