The hole size is 19mm, and then you can file a 1 mm notch to the side to stop it rotating, I drilled a 18mm hole and reamed it out to 19mm as I did not have 19mm only an 18 or 20mm and 20mm meant it would be able to rotate. It clipped in well and will fit into up too a 2mm thicknes of sheet, the action of the switch is reasonable and does not require great pressure to operate it, I would not want to switch a higher load than 5/10amps 12VDC and I would not use on 240volts with this item, they work they are cheap and for what I want for low voltage low power switching they are great

For the money they are very good quality, I have only used one so far and that was in my caravan to put an Led strip light under the cupboad in the kitchen, I found that a hole of 19 mm was needed and a final shaping with a round file, as a 20mm would be too big, but hey for a pound that is excelent value can recommend to anyone ( 12volt use only)

Good quality for the price. I only have this product 4 stars because the feel of the switch as it clicks on and off wasn't super smooth. That said, it's still a good switch.

these are very good switches, positive action just drill a 18mm hole and press fit. i like the good size solder tags.

These are very cheap for what they are, I’ve used them a lot and have yet to have one fail.
