Ok... Amazing quality, rugged, well built. But..... The magnetic clasp are really a down grade. You don't buy a JEEP and put radial tires on it. Lmao 😂. The magnetic clasp easily pops out when hit or bag is full to capacity. My quick solution wast to but structural adhesive tape in between magnetic clasp and base receiver. See photos, it work like magic. Took tape and xacto knife as well as steady hand. Becareful and patient and you will be happy with results. In all I love the bag, so does my wife. Hope I help you decide to buy the bag. I bought one similar for 3 x the price. No brainier, 20 minute time invested and $10 of structural adhesive tap from HDepot and done.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BACKPACK! It gives you a unique vintage look. I love that it has so many pockets and a laptop compartment. It has a structure but it gives you a sense of “baggy ness”. The canvas is somewhat hard tho. It’ll take a little time to break in but very great quality. I was a littler nervous that it might be too big but it’s just like a normal school backpack size (I think ). It’s a little heavy but I don’t mind because it feels very comfortable. The straps are padded and I love the metal looking strap adjustment because it gives u more of a vintage vibe rather than a plastic one.

September 9, 2019Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase. All components of the backpack are well made and it seems like it’s heavy duty. Plenty of space inside the main bag and the exterior pouches. It has kept my books and computer dry from light rain but was only exposed for a few minutes. So far I’ve only been using it for school and a few road trips but I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s interested.Update Jan. 8 2020Backpack is still holding up great! It’s proven to be durable for day to day use! Easy to dust off and clean! Still completely satisfied with my purchase!

Not gonna lie, I was a little frightened that there weren’t any reviews of this pack anywhere, but after several weeks of use it holds up great. The only thing I don’t like is the magnetic buckles... they look like real buckles, and they can be used like real buckles, but there magnetically connected the the bag. Meh. Material feels really good and strong, straps are very comfortable. Buy it!

I believe the backpack I got was defective, it looks different from the photos. The main issue is that the drawstring is too short, and because of this, the backpack can't be opened all the way and doesn't fit a laptop. Also, the one I received is two different color materials. The back is a different shade of gray than the front/sides. I wanted to like this bag, but for the money, it's not worth it.

Great design and well made except the buckles are a deal killer. The magnets are all but useless. I took the suggestion from a previous review and glued a couple buckles and used them as a regular buckle. However, the buckle still broke and two of them fell off. This was the first time I ever used this backpack. Very disappointing considering how well the rest of the backpack is made.

I bought this for a present for my roommate. He loves it. The wax treatment is heavy without making it hard and unbendable. The leather accents and straps are nice looking and the magnets work well for now. If they start to lose their magnetism, I will epoxy them together and use the buckles. The buckles are not the heaviest duty type but are nice looking and functional. It would have been nice for the bottom to be covered in leather, but if it were, the price would have to be higher. My roommate is very happy with the bag and says he would recommend it as a quality product at a good price.

not great but not bad. also, i did not realize this when purchasing, but the straps are magnetic not buckle. the buckles are purely decorative. i was slightly disappointed by this as i was planning to use it for travel. i just have to be more aware of whether or not the magnet opens on its own so things dont fly out.

it was a gift for my son who travels round the country especially in rural areas, he loves it penty of room, totally waterproof, would recommend to backpackers. was delivered earlier than expected, very pleased with purchase

I carried this back with me through a week of heavy hiking in Banff National Park.My main complaint (and the reason why it didn't get a perfect rating) is that it is a little too small (for a grown man). The dimensions are however are perfect for most airlines to count as a "personal carry-on". My only other complaint is that one of the magnetic clasps are starting to deteriorate/come apart, but it still has functionality and life left.Other than that, it's one of the best backpacks I've ever head. Because of its small size it forces you to pack light--which is an advantage when hiking. It's super comfortable with lots of padding. It has convenient pockets for bear spray, binoculars, handheld gps, etc.It also comes with a waxed coating over the canvass fabric, thus moisture doesn't get absorbed readily into it (though it does make it quite stiff). Pro tip: I attached carabiners over the leather strap loops to attach water bottles to, etc.The most attractive thing about this backpack, and the reason you forgive its small size, is that the material used is durable and high quality--it's hard to find quality this good nowadays.

excellent backpack. lots of pockets, will hold a lot in the main section. a little stiff at first till it gets worked in.
