Disappointing but with enticing photographs
I bought the book because the Times had a two page spread on his recipes. I have only tried the Apple-Maple Syrup cake but was most disappointed with the tasteless result.I should have been warned by the fact that the image showed apple slices with their cores still present while the instructions said to peel and core the apples.There was an unhealthy amount of butter in the recipe- 100gm in the syrup and 180gm in the dough - 280gm in a cake with only 180gm flour and the cake itself was like an uninteresting steamed pudding.Will try a couple more recipes and if they are better i will comment further

Great Book..
We Just received the Book from Amazon on a very Timely Fashion .So Far my wife is fascinated with how easy some of the many recipes are !!She has not tried any as we have just received the Book .
