Never worked with the Chromecast even tho I see the words Chromecast for a few seconds when I first power on. I did test this on a other sources and anything that uses copy protection seems to cause a problem. I simply wanted to watch Netflix using a Chromecast on an old CRT TV but no real options here. Guess it's back to the Xbox for now.

Converts audio only
DID NOT WORK. Converted Audio only, no video. Everything works beautifully when I used my older more expensive powered converter, but when I swapped it out for this new one, the video didn't work-powered by USB or not. From reviews here, I'm not the only one this has happened to. I could try an exchange, but I'm going to go with a more solid product.

Mostly Good
It does do what it supposed to do, mostly. I am unable to get 1080p quality out of it. It mostly comes out looking like VGA. I have also tried using it with an older PICA projector and while I can get the video, the audio is only a hum. Must not like going through an AV cable. Anyway, for the price it is adequate and will do most of I want.

Save your money
It came fast and worked exactly like it should have FOR TWO WEEKS!!! Then after that it completely stopped working

Exactly what I need. Works perfectly!
Works like magic! Used it for my AppleTV to an Old Stupid TV. Now my TV is now a Smart Ass TV! Lol.
