American Mahjong Set, “Deco” with Soft Case

I bought this as a birthday gift for myself and contacted Amazon because I thought the blank tiles were missing. They sent me a replacement set, but again, no blanks. I contacted the company, Yellow Mountain, and discovered the tiles were in a zippered pocket in the bag unnoticed by me. Needless to say I am embaressed and feel quite stupid, though very happy to have the blank tiles and now can play with this very beautiful and unusualMah Jongg set.

I was very pleased when I received this set. The engraved colors are very bold and striking against the black tiles. The swing arm on the racks are very helpful while playing. The carry case is a nice material and makes it easy to pack & unpack the set while keeping the parts safely separated. I would absolutely recommend this set!

I received this set and although pretty it did not come with all the parts. Missing scoring coins, dice and wind indicator. So now I have to send back. What a pain.

The numbers are a little difficult to read but the set is great for double Mahjongg it’s so easy to separate the sets

Love the design and feel of the tiles as well as the pushing trays. One of the tile storage trays arrived broken. I did not want to send it back so I taped it.

Great looking set, though some of the etchings are off, especially on the backs where the art deco print is visible, hence making the tiles distinguishable and easy for cheating. Sadly, I will have to return these tiles, which is a bummer because I really do love the look and style.

The black tiles and Art Deco design on the back make this quite a unique set. The engraved images are easy to read with good contrast between them and the black background. The carrying case is well organized and sturdy.

We sent this product back as the color on black background was just to hard to see especially if you are older and/or wear glasses. I wear contacts and found that with indoor light, the graphics were a little challenging to see. Additionally, the listing stated you received 166 tiles, but when we received the item, we only received 160 tiles. The pictures of the tile show additional tiles as backup, but they were not included in the set. Even the photo shows the additional tiles, but what we got was four shrink-wrapped sets of 40 tiles. Missing were the addition Joker and blank tiles. Overall, the set came with a nice carrying case and accessories. We sent this back to the issues and order a different set.
