Works as described
Received today and gave it a try on one of my set-ups. Using Windows10, StarryNight Pro7 and BackyardEOS as software. Equipment was an ETX90 and an ASUS ROG laptop. Plugged in and worked out of the package with the above items. Used the Meade Generic in ASCOMM as the driver for that and scope fully communicated with StarryNight. It automatically set the COMM port to #4, not sure if plugging into a different USB port would matter? So it works. I also have an LT6 I will try it on, but I believe it has to do with the controller being used? It has the audiostar as the ETX90 has the 497.Also, only gripe may be a longer cable on it, maybe 15 feet or so to reach away from the scope to laptop with extra so nobody gets tangled. Yes I have 25 foot USB pass-trough cables. But, less connections, less problems. Just my opinion.Last note: All software and the hand controller have latest updates to them.

Works with Meade LX 200 GPS and windows 10!
I need to update the software on my LX200 GPS and didn't have a serial port available. Looking online it is hard to tell which cables will work, I think Meade used a nonstandard pinout, and there may be issues with some chipsets for the USB converter. In any case, I decided to try this cable, partially because it uses the FTDI chipsets, and also because it was specifically built for this telescope, including using all six conductors on the connector.I am glad to say it worked perfectly with the default drivers. The only thing I did was adjust to 9600 baud in the StarGPS updater

Great product.
Excellent! Can finally update my Autostar II with ease. You may need to lower your baud rate in the ASU app if you have issues. This is not a cable issue.

Does not work with Meade LX90
Do not buy. Does not work with Meade LX90. I downloaded all drivers and wasted a lot of time.THEN I purchased the authentic 505 cable from Meade along with a new FTDI USB to serial cable and everything worked. Imagine that!

Just what I needed
This works awesome. I bought my electronic alt/az scope in the late 90's so back then to connect to your computer cost a bit of money. Worked great with my autostar 1 and the autostar suite. Using this cable for an older scope requires a lot of research to get it working properly.

It works!
Works great! Just had to download the driver the seller emailed details about, change the baud rate to 9600, and everything was a breeze after that. This was on an LX200 GPS.Excited to be able to connect to the scope via ASCOM and get into the rabbit hole of amazement!

It worked!
Product arrived very quickly. And it simply worked. No extra setup on a win10 system. A bit expensive but ok.
