So worth the money
As a event/concert/wedding photographer, I rely heavily on my flash unit. Using a flip bracket allows me to keep my light centered and above my subject, and this cord is a absolute necessity when using a flip-bracket. I use to buy the one from Canon, but they're about $70 and would fail in about 6months. Zeikos made a comparable version of the Canon cable for less than 1/2 the price and would last for 2 years. Sadly Zeikos only makes them for Sony now. This cable looks and functions just like the Zeikos model. Although most parts are plastic, it is very rugged and sturdy. I used it to shoot a concert 5 days ago and worked without a hitch. I can't tell you if this will last 6months, or 2 years.. Time will tell. But for now I'm very happy with my purchase.

Works great for macro gives 1 m comfortable extension
So far its been working great, I can happily rate it 5 out of 5. I will update if I come across any issues or if the cable breaks off.Pros:It is very easy to use, the side mounting on the hot shoe has a lock stays in place, the other side mounts on a normal tripod quick release with 1/4" screw. It is small enough to take with you for outdoors photography or macro. which is what I use it for, doesn't take too much space.Cons:The same last advantage of this cable could be the downside of it depending on what type of use you intend, despite the misleading title, this cable is by no means 3 m!! it is 70 cm from both ends when it is not stretched, when you stretch it to the most reasonable tension it gets 140 cm although it is comfortable tension only up to 1 m. This is less than half of what it has been advertised, if you stretch it any further it could bring down all your setup or might rip off the cable. Now this is not an issue for me as I use it for macro, but if you use it say for portrait work it may be too short to give you adequate working distance. All in all, this works well for me and I don't see any quality issues so far.

The cord is a little too long for on camera use.
If you use this on a flash bracket, then get one about 3” long instead. This is a bit too long for that purpose. Which add extra weight and you have manage the extra length of the wire (I wind it around the flash bracket). If you use this so you can hold the flash with an arm’s length... which doesn’t make sense to me, then it will be more comfortable than stretching the 3’ wire. An advantage that I never use. In that case, I will buy a even longer cord so I can place the flash on a stand for even more position options. As for the quality of materials, it is very good.

Best money you can spend for photos with more impact.
Getting the flash off of and away from the camera is the fastest and cheapest way to give your pictures impact, drama, and that certain "something" that sets them apart. This cable works perfectly with your manufacturer or after-market flash to do that cheaply and quickly. The build quality is good, the length is perfect, and the cable feels really heavy-duty. It attaches securely on both ends and I haven't had a single issue with it not making connections (which I've experienced with cheap off-camera cables before). The only thing I don't like about the cable is that the cord comes out of the front of the hot-shoe adapter on the camera end, causing it to sometimes drape in front of my lens. Of course, if it came out the back it would drape in front of my eyepiece, so it's probably a wash. I paid $15 for this.

It works.
It really only stretches about 1 ft. but it works great when I use my flash bracket or hand held for macro photography, which is mainly what I bought it for. If you need lengths of over a foot or so go with a straight not coiled cable.

Works great with my Quick flip flash bracket and a 430EX
Works as advertised. I use it with a Strobo quick flip flash bracket and it is plenty long for this. Maybe a bi too long as I need to make sure it doesn't swing and block the lens. Works well as I switch the bracket from landscape to portrait and back. Electronic connections are perfect and the flash acts as it should. Can't tell about longevity as I've only had it or a short period of time. That is the problem reviewing an item just after you bought it.

Not What They Promised
I received the cord, tested it and it works fine. UNFORTUNATELY it is nowhere near the 9.8 feet it claims so, as requested by their supposed company president, I wrote to inform them of the shortage and asked if they could supply one that actually was the length advertised. Since then I have received two more replies, neither of which was helpful. The last one ask me to re-measure the length. To those that suggested stretching the cord I would Say to be VERY VERY CAREFUL because the small wires within the coil and not designed to stretch and could easily break inside where you won't see the damage.I have strongly suggested to the manufacturer they offer an uncoiled unit but so far they have dodged that suggestion and continue with the silly questions. I see there are two other offerings from different companies, but they are of poor quality according to the reviews so my next step will be to build my own cord.I would strongly suggest they be make them re-write their ad or drop this product since it is an outright deception.

Arm's length cable
Solid cable, and looks to be made well. Just got it, and so far it works as expected. As others have pointed out, it doesn't stretch out to their advertised length, but it's not supposed to because it's a coiled cord. You can stretch it out to arm's length. If you want something that'll reach farther than that, I'd recommend a longer cable. This really helps get the light off center so there are no red eyes or bright spots. Well worth the money.
