Be very aware!!!!!!
No option for NO stars. I have purchased Mcafee protection several times with no issues. This seemed like a good deal and considerably cheaper than through the McAfee website. I received the card containing the activation code, followed the instructions on the card and it came up that it was unable to install and directed me to call the no on screen. I was assuming this is Mcafee. It was not. The advisor confirmed my key was fine and he would help me get it installed. Installed a go to assist programme .He took remote access to my computer and after some 20 mins advised my computer was full of viruses( I already had all protection in working order but it was about to expire) He advised the issue was with my internet security or some such nonsense which I didn't understand and the language he used set alarm bells ringing, ""Oh jeez, can you see this? Can you see these programmes that have stopped working ? Can you see this? These are viruses"". Alarm bells were ringing at this point and I suspected that I was about to be asked for a considerable amount of money for him to help protect me. I told him I had to go to work and asked if it was going to take much longer. He then said I could purchase this protection from anywhere if I wanted to end the call. What protection?? I thought that is what I had purchased. So, because iv submitted the activation code Im assuming that that is it no longer valid but its not on my computer. I went to the Mcafee website where I have already registered and logged in trying to find a customer service no . I saw that I could enter a purchased key and tried it and it worked fine, no issues. I would be very wary of this, it has worked but im concerned that I allowed this company to remotely access my computer and there is loads of people on online forums who have been directed to that phone no and caught out. I did follow the instructions on the card to mcafee.com/activate and was directed to that website. It worked fine when I went to McFee support website and logged in. so just be aware.

SCAM be aware.
on try to install and failing twice I was directed to a tel. No for UK. I was then subjected to a load of "gobbledegook" terminating in being asked to pay extra £150 at this point I realised it was aa SCAM and told him where to go. checked with bank, they confirmed it was a scam. changed all pass words, informed Amazon and returned item for full refund

Scam
Tried to load and came up with a problem and said a Mcafee technician would contact me. Supposable technician took remote access to computer and seemed to fix the problem and asked for £156 pounds for the tech support and 3 years protection.. Ten minutes later got a phone call saying it was a scam and the activation was only for 3 days. So I don't know if the first or second lot were trying to scam me, either way I am out over £150 and I don't know if I have protection. I tied contacting Mcafee but no one got back to me,. even if they do get back how will I know if its really them. Has this happened to others?

Problems in uploading
This product caused significant headaches in trying to upload. Even the technician from McAfee support (who was excellent) took about 20 minutes trying to sort this out. This is partly due to computers coming with trial versions of software built in which have to be removed first, but all in all the software should be capable of dealing with this.
