Milton Avery Hardcover – November 15, 1990

This is a nice book of Milton Avery works. I am an artist studying his work so I found it very helpful. Some of the price points online I think are crazy. Its a nice book but not worth paying anything over a textbook price. I liked the vendor I purchased from (photographybooks7) and it came in very good condition.

If Milton Avery is on your list of great painters, as it is mine, I recommend getting this book.It is a massive book of very high quality; the color plates are indeed phenomenal and Robert Hobbs' essay on Avery is insightful, although somewhat hagiographic.In my recent, growing collection of art books, it one of the best purchases I have made.

This book is beautiful. It is wonderfully illustrated and filled with informative info on the life and times of Milton Avery. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who cares about the art of Milton Avery.

The book has lovely illustrations. If one is a fan of Avery, this is a good book to get and I recommend it.

Avery's work has always appealed to me -- simultaneously "simple" and complex. I was interested to learn he would sit and ponder a long time before he began painting, then paint his canvas decisively. Good habit for thoughtful work.

this is the one- fantastic big reproductions and I can not get over what a talented painter he was. Love his work. Highly recommend this book !

The front cover image is strong but the contents within the book is very weak. Very disappointed and not worth the money.
