Pretty good knife!
I can't believe that this knife was only $5 with Prime! Sure, it's not as awesome as a Spyderco or Zero Tolerance knife, but wow, it's pretty darn good! There is no blade play whatsoever and lock up is good and solid. This knife has a liner lock, one thumb stud for righties only, and the blade is partially serrated. Serrations are effective and fairly aggressive, which is good. Knife arrived quite sharp, too. The blade is centered quite well, perfectly actually. Washers are nylon, which is to be expected at this price point. I wasn't expecting phosphor bronze washers on such an inexpensive knife. I'm really pleased at how smooth this knife is. It opens and closes easily and smoothly. The pocket clip is okay and keeps the knife firmly in my pocket. On my scale, this knife weighs 3.625 ounces. Not too heavy. Total length of the knife closed is just shy of 4.5 inches. Cutting edge length is about 3.25 inches. The design of the knife is pillar, flow through construction, which makes for easy cleaning. Just blowing on the knife will remove a lot of dust and debris. The type of steel isn't listed on the blade itself. My assumption is that it's 440a. Not the greatest for sure, but very easy to sharpen. It won't hold an edge for long, though. That's okay with me at this price. Something I really like about this knife is that for its size, it's actually fairly lightweight and thin in the pocket, which makes it easier to carry. I really only bought this knife because I'd never owned a Maxam knife and wanted to try a $5 knife. I didn't have high hopes for the brand or the knife, but I'm pleasantly surprised at this knife. I'd say that it's definitely worth more than I paid for it. If you need an inexpensive, beater knife, this knife would be a good choice. I own many more expensive knives, but I quite like this knife and have been carrying it for a while. It is safe and cuts well! With each passing year, Chinese knives are getting better and better.

Nice knife
Knife came very sharp. Everything seems put together well. Nice looking. I could do without the pocket clip not a fan. Good for EDC . For 5$ you can't go wrong.

Good knife for cheap
Very good for the price. Great tackle box knife or to keep in the glove box or just for every day use. This is my second Maxam knife bc I was so happy with my original. Sharp out of the box not sure how wel it will hold edge.
