It works like an optical illusion
It works like an optical illusion.You look through the glass at the blank paper on the desk. So, you are looking at both the blank paper on the desk and a superimposed reflection of the iPhone/iPad screen in the glass, both of which are in your field of vision.There are some limitations--which probably explains the negative reviews. It's difficult to see your pen or paintbrush because it is blocked by the reflected image from the iPhone/iPad.However, I'm not aware of anything that does this at this price point. The art projectors I've found online cost a fortune and, I imagine, would have similar limitations.

DON'T BUY
This thing is the worst! They want you to use one eye to look around this piece of glass, and the other eye to look through the piece of glass. Huh? I don't know about you, but my eyes do not move independently. Horrible product.

Don’t waste your money!
This item was not worth the money. It does not work as great as it is advertised. You have to turn off all the lights in the room to see it on your paper, then you are unable to see your pencil and have no clue where you are tracing. It doesn’t work !

Dont buy into the hype.
The products app is horrible let's you use it 10 times before you have to re enter the QR code to get another 10 times. The appn also in another language for the most part. And if you want to complain to them good luck the web site is in another language as well. Also you may have to re download the app multiple times when it freeze or doesn't load. The instructions are horrible and do not explain much.Great idea horrible execution.

Simple and easy to use. No app.
It takes a bit of getting used to. But I enjoy it. Compact, easily stored, easily assembled.The app mentioned in the instructions doesn't exist anymore. Luckily, the app is not required. Still, it would have been fun to play around with it.

Did not come with software download as listed in add.
Big let down, the item will not work as advertised, with out the software download. When you go to web site listed link sends you to Google apps, what you given is a child's color by number game. No the described soft ware to use with the tracing pad. Being unable to enlarge, adjust light and color of pictures makes it near impossible to use the pad to see pictures clear, much less draw them or trace. Worthless a peice of tinted glass and plastic.

Simple little tool
This comes in a nice little box with instructions. Very simple to put together and use. I found that at first it was too bright and I couldn’t see my pencil. I realized that if I turned my phone brightness down it allowed me to see both the projected image as well as my pencil.

Somewhat difficult to use
I found this product a little finicky to use. It is also difficult to use for most of the size things I was trying to draw. Works as described, just not great for me.
