Exact replacement for a unit that was installed in our bathroom. Took a bit to do the installation - the new one wasn't a problem - installation of it was super easy - but removing the old one took some work. I couldn't get the old parts out, but studied the new one to see how it was assembled, and knowing it was a genuine Delta product, was able to apply pressure to the old unit without breaking anything, to get it removed.As far as operation, it works just like the old unit; be sure you set the little limit piece to prevent anyone getting scalded if the hot water is not blended down to a reasonable maximum temperature. It's very important as guests not familiar with your plumbing may crank it up to full hot and get injured.Nice unit, looks nice, and works.

I do bathroom remodels for a living and have installed a lot of tub/shower valves over the years. Delta never disappoints. They are easy to install, work flawlessly for years and look great. When other brands are changing all of the trim pieces to plastic, most of the parts in a Delta trim kit are still metal. One thing to note about the rough-in valve body: If you are sweat fitting the pipes directly to the valve body, remove the mounting plate prior to putting a torch on the fittings. The plate is anodized aluminum, and a MAPP gas torch is hot enough to melt it. It won't give you any warning that it's getting too hot. It just suddenly vaporizes. Delta used to make that part out of brass, but not any more. If you take that precaution and follow the rough-in guide for placement (a 2x6 at the back of the soffit pushed up against the drywall at the back puts the valve right where you want it for 3/4" of backer board and tile).

Installed this and the rough in valve housing in an old shower. Installation instructions are good ( not great). The assembly of the temperature control limiter is confusing. If installing a new valve body as well, be sure that the hole in the finished wall is big enough to fit the outer trim ring that fits OVER the rough in valve body when you later install the cartridge and trim kit. I did not and had to remove it, enlarge the hole and re-assemble. The plastic temperature lever is fine -- except it has play in it which gives it a "cheap" feel. DELTA - you can do better. I gave 5 stars since overall quality is good, it functions very well and my wife loves it.

This product is ok. I wanted a similar one from Moen but had to return it because my plumber said we had to had a Delta brand to work with our plumbing. Unfortunately, this Delta one leaves a lot more spots compared to the Moen branded items we have in the rest of our bathroom areas (sink faucets, shower head, etc.). Additionally, the first version of this item that was sent to us was sent in chrome, the wrong color. The company was very responsive and did turnaround and reship the correct color right away - within a couple of days. My husband installed the items and ended up having to You Tube because something was broken inside. Not sure if it was an included part or a part attached from our plumber causing the issue.

Yes! So happy I found this - & it’s been on market for 10 years so every contractor should know. Regular pressure is too high & the low flow little ring makes it trickle. Like Goldilocks this one makes it just right yay I love it!! & with Delta I can change to another color etc without going into the wall.

The original Delta Shower valve handle and trim was looking very worn with its black coloring. I bought this kit and was surprised to find that it included more than I expected; it also included the water control valve as well that I will save for future use because the old one still works. It was easy to install with only two screws and the handle control snaps out and and the new one snaps in and has an adjustment for the right temperature control for the shower.

Install was easy after watching the YouTube videos from Delta. Setting up the temperature was tricky. I just kept moving the black plastic dial until it was the right temperature. The water pressure is great. We did have a problem in the beginning with low pressure. It ended up being some junk stuck in the filter of the shower pipe. Currently the shower is working but it is dripping when in the off position. I can rotate the pressure dial 360 right past the stops. I am working with Delta to resolve this. Too bad this unit uses plastic gears.Update: worked with Delta support to resolve the issue. Tech support was great. The unit is working perfectly now. This is a company that stands behind its products.

I truly dislike the “one knob does it all” approach most showers have. With this one I can control the water temperature and water volume separately. It works and it works well. Installation was simple. Highly recommend this product.

Took 2x to align due to my inexperience (bit tricky) , came apart easily, repositioned, went together securely. Good design & quality. Yes I would by again!

I had an older model of the Delta monitor that has been installed 10 years ago.This one came with the cartridge and fits perfectly without having to change the rough-in.Was easy to install and look great..

Product price ordered via Amazon and supplied direct from manufacturer (Delta/Masco) was significantly less than if ordered via big box stores or plumbing suppliers. Delivery was prompt, less than a week, and exactly what I wanted. I've installed a number of these Delta shower / tub temp controllers and very happy with them. Clean simple look. Note that this is just the control cartridge and the handles and covers - you also need to order a Delta "rough-in", which is the metal (brass) assembly which connects to the plumbing piping ie water supply and shower head etc and is mounted in the wall. This "monitor" installs into that rough-in after you have completed the tiling or other wall finishing around the rough-in. Note that you have to be extremely careful to mount the rough-in to the correct depth in the wall, so that AFTER the tiling etc is completed, the rough-in will project just the right amount into the room to allow correct mounting of the monitor cartridge and cover plate. The instructions are all provided - read closely, since impossible to correct once tiled over.

I used it in my en-suite shower.It is quite good. It doesn’t control the temperature of the water quite as accurately as I thought it would.
