Love this little camera as it does everything home video recording needs.One thing I will mention is the Microphone. It's a separate device that attaches to the top of the camera and plugs in the back of the camera. It also requires a separate battery AND On - +0db +xdb -Off and forgetting that will leave you with a silent movie. I mistakenly attached everything and plugged the mic in and started recording. The mic wasn't plugged ALL THE WAY in and came loose and lost audio on that recording. Mic takes a separate AAA battery with the On/Off/+db is on the mic itself. It takes some getting used to but now it's second nature when getting ready to record.I have yet to test it in Low Light so can't attest to that feature.I use this and an older Sony Handycam HDR-CX405Comparing the 2 I get better Video Quality off this camera but BETTER audio with the Sony. Both have similar battery time and both charge to 100% in about the same amount of time.I would buy again!

The camera works great. It was easy to set up and get going. It’s a very minimal design which make navigating though menus fairly straight forward. All the accessories worked great. Once I realized the microphone has a battery it worked great. Getting the files from the camera to the computer has never been easier for me. First try, no fuss, files downloaded right to my computer.It’s really light weigh which makes it a great choice for vlogging. Plus the flip screen rotates all the way around and feels fairly durable. The handheld stabilization is a great touch and just boosts the value of this camera even more.The night vision capabilities is super fun. I didn’t even realize it had that, but will be using it from now on.Overall fantastic value. I’m really impressed with the quality and user friendliness of this camera.

Overall the camera is a great value. many features, the construction is what you expect for the price. It's not substantially solid but well done. Overall I would recommend it as a buy, however, I had a couple of issuesI bought it for use in recording content for instructional videos and to use as a web cam. The web cam functionality is a little oversold. It does state in the documentation that the minimum focal length is about 3-4 feet. I find that a little impractical as the maximum distance I can get the camera back on my desktop is about 2 1/2 feet, but its typically closer more like 2 feet. So I look slightly blurry while my background is in focus. In addition the "zoom" is pretty tight even at 3 feet so it does not capture the 4x5 white board that sits about 1 foot behind me. These are not issues I have on my laptop camera or my Logitech webcam. It still seems to take really good video and stills of images over 5 feet away.Also I run the output through a port replicator so I can switch between two different laptops. In this configuration I cannot get either laptop to recognize the microphone. This might be a problem with my port replicator but if I hook up the same mic directly to the port replicator both laptops recognize the input, so I suspect it the camera. The mic absolutely works on the camera however when not hooked up to the port replicator.Neither of my issues were insurmountable, only minor inconveniences.Again I would still recommend as a buy, but depending on your needs.

I bought this camera in June 2020. Opened it up. If it was not for a nice little boy showing how to use the camera or the different questions,I would have issues. However, after using it for a contest that I am entering..did the video, about to edit the video..no sound. The mic is on..the sound is on..the remote does not work. All the vendor is going to say, contact the manufacture company from previous posts. I ended up buying another camera and had no issues. I need the camera NOW..not after I contact someone and then wait. Just waste of my time, money and energy. I included a picture to show...Yes, this review is real and yes, I bought this camera.

I really wanted this camera to work, price was low, you shouldn't expect much but sometimes you can find a star. Well more like loose 2 stars, more would have been lost but it has some good points.So for the price the picture quality was not bad, the camera was easy to use and fast to set up and get running, assuming it would.1st one I had went back as it wouldn't stay turned on.2nd one, the video quality was not bad, nice to hold in the hand, for the price the plastic shell has a good feel and using the onboard mic sound was okish. Problem, the shotgun mic didn't work. Spent half a day creating content to find no sound. Lucky the camera that costs 10x the price has sound we can use. But quality lets this thing down. I would have had a 3rd one sent but Amazon refunded me, no other choice.Shame wanted to see how it performed for the price and see if I can use it on my streaming platform as a backup camera.Sorry guys quality control lets you down.

This video camera is awesome and I absolutely love this item!! It has very clear video and the zoom on this camera is unbelievable. I have used it several times and have had no issues. It is very wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I also purchased the additional service plan for 3 years which is always a good suggestion on electronic items as you never know what might happen in the future. It does come with the 1 year manufacturers warranty but it never hurts to have extra protection Overall it is an excellent camera and I have been wanting this one for over a year now but finally decided to get it and can say I am truly satisfied with its functions.
