At 98 tracks across four jam-packed CDs this is the definitive overview of the Stiff label from #1 hits to rare curiosities. As great as Rhino's Stiff box set was a decade or so ago, this box set is closer to the original eclectic nature of the label and features a lot more of the one-offs and under-appreciated acts. Includes tracks from early signings like Nick Lowe, the Damned and Elvis Costello up to today's Stiff signings such as chart-topping the Enemy, Eskimo Disco and the Tranzmitors taking in Ian Dury, the Pogues, Kirsty MacColl, Wreckless Eric and a host of others along the way DVD-sized box comes with a full color 68 page booklet featuring an introduction to the label, bio's on each of the artists featured and as many photos, sleeves, flyers and badges as we could squeeze in. Compiled by Stiff authority Pete Gardiner with booklet notes by Stiff aficionado Ian Peel with help from original Stiff press officer Andy Murray. Remastered by Tim Turan at Turan Audio for superb sound quality. Salvo 2007.

Terrific and diverse set, great liner notes for an immersive experience
This is an unbelievable value for the diversity and quality of music. I came to Stiff Records via Ian Dury and Wreckless Eric and have enjoyed learning more about the culture Stiff curated via their artists. The liner notes are incredibly informative about the artists and the included tracks. Notes give context to the music and it's really a pleasure for an active listen. I like the compact package, too, thicker but otherwise similar to a standard DVD case. Very handsome on the shelf.

Wonderful Box of Stiffs!
This is a glorious document of a glorious time for music. I thought I would never hear some of these tracks again. The quality of the entire package is great - from the sound quality to the liner notes.

If it ain't STIFF...
Man, is this ever a bargain. Someone gave the last incarnation of this set to my brother 15 years ago, and I musta made a dozen killer mix tapes off it. (Remember those? One of my best skills, and gift-giving sources, gone by the wayside. Alas.) Even if you only like HALF of it, it's a steal. Pay your respects to the label that launched Elvis, Nick Lowe, Madness, The Pogues ... you won't be disappointed, even by the obscure Stiff stuff.

Pure 70-80s Nostalgia
I was looking for a Stiff Records collection and saw this. It has a diverse rang of artists and lots of lesser known stuff such as a track by Max Wall !!. As a guide to Stiff a must for any musso. As a group of tunes to listen to its not very cohesive and does flow. I will make a playlist of my favorites old and new. It comes in a nice presentation box with an accompanying book about Stiif and the artists this is what makes this a special set. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to relive there teens.
