The One II works well for my use. Two hints for your listening pleasure.
This device is clear and crisp and easy to set up. I use mine on a book case placed about six inches from the wall. Great tone and healthy bass for my listening needs. I went with the the One II because I am not filling up a concert hall with sound, but it is more than enough for my 18x20 ft office. The perfect bang for the buck. For Apple users, I recommend turning off Sound Check and setting the EQ to Flat or Off until you determine the right EQ settings for your various artists or music. It puts you in a "what you play is what you get" from your source. Do this for a day or so. From there, season to your taste. it is not mentioned in the owners manual, but it does help you to not over-season your sound. If you lose Bluetooth connectivity for any reason, it's good to know that pressing and holding down the Source button will reset the device. I've lost connectivity switching between two apple devices. Resetting by depressing the Source button allowed my to synchronize quickly. It's in the users guide but we tend to forget that after we turn on our new toys.In review, The One II is a great table or bookshelf speaker.

Easy To Use, Excellent Sound
When my bookshelf stereo system bricked itself, I found myself in need of a new compact sound system for my bedroom. After getting over my initial reticence to join the 21st century and not worry about silly things like "CD players" and "radio tuners", I researched myself in circles trying to find a unit that would work with my existing tech, not be too confusing, and have decent sound. As most of the music I listen to in that room is Classical, Folk or Traditional, I was wary of any speaker touting its "bass boost" capabilities. I also have a pretty good ear, so I initially shied away from this, as I was just learning about the lossiness of bluetooth technology, and codecs and whatnot, and it seemed that there were other brands that were more on top of this.I need not have worried; after a trusted audiophile friend recommended this, AND a reputable review site ranked it over the competition, I took a chance. Here is what I have learned. First off, the amount of sound coming out of this speaker is more than adequate for a small bedroom. It sounds about equivalent to my previous 3-piece bookshelf system. I did a sound check with a favorite piece of bombastic classical music using the Bluetooth connection. It was pretty darn good, and probably fine for my needs. However, noting some other reviews, I went into the settings on the phone I was using to transmit and chose a different EQ setting. I didn't have to toggle much; the "Classical" pre-set on my phone was perfect, and noticiably improved the sound. When I used the included Aux cable, the sound became even better. If they hadn't included the aux cable or hookup, I would have been quite satisfied with the Bluetooth sound once I worked out the Equalizer. Also, on a purely aesthetic note, I really appreciate how "analog" this unit feels. There are two dials and a toggle switch on it. There is no app to download, and pairing it with my Android and Apple devices was easy. It did my old stereo one better, in that I can listen to my local classical station through their website without suffering through static. If I decide I want to get my shiny silver discs out and listen to a CD, I would only have to purchase a cheap CD player, and the Aux cable would enable that. Since it works with my iPod classic, I may not even need to do that. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a compact sound system.

i was not aware of the standby mode....
I use this speaker system as a permanent aux connection to my Vobot bedside clock, as I like to listen to music after I wake up while I read (retired). I had a MP3 era amplifier with a separate bass system which I found worked well in this adaptation, but it started getting static noise (old I guess). This system seemed to work well until I discovered that it went to standby after a while when it sensed no input, so when I tapped the clock to ask for music I didn't hear any response. I then thought that it would not work for this application, but I discovered if I just go ahead with the request the system wakes up and everything works normal. After thinking about, the older system probably failed because it was "hot" all the time and this is a better way to run an amplifier system. Most people just turn it on when they come to a room and want to hear music. I miss the separate bass adjustment, but the speaker does a good job; I set the volume level on the speaker to a nice loud level and then ask Vobot to adjust the sound level output like I want at that time.

Very Nice Unit....
Great sound! It's larger than I expected; but, that's not issue at all. I recommend it highly. (Thank you)!
