Nice tool for your vehicle diagnosis arsenal
Features: 👍🏽👍🏽Ease of use: 👍🏽👍🏽Price: 👍🏽Nice tool that says what it does. Has plenty of features. I bought this for my 2014 BMW X5 (F15) and it worked like a charm to reset my SRS Airbag MIL on my cluster. It found the fault (plug was somehow loose behind the glove box), removed glove box and hooked the connection, read the code again, cleared the code, light is gone and still paid less than at the stealership.Live features work well too, tested it by connecting my seatbelt and it showed live when it was connected and when not.I also purchased the Toyota/Lexus/Scion firmware and it works well on my 2008 Lexus IS-F with no issues. Im not liking the $60 fee for each auto maker (sets). I’m glad I stumbled upon a video on Foxwell tools and after doing some research settled for this one.

Works great.
Only issue I have is that this was bought for my work and my IT department has to physically enter the admin password to allow me to access the software in the computer when adding updating or adding new manufacturers. Not major, but make sure you are the admin/owner of your computer. They tried many times giving me permissions, but our systems weren’t happy with Foxwells requirements. Once I get a member of my company’s IT department to come to my desk and enter their password for access the software it performs perfectly. As a general use OBD scanner, I’m happy with it. I also have only used 3 other cheap scanners in the past so I don’t know exactly all the ins and outs at this time.I bought this with the loaded BMW software (also came with Mini and Rolls Royce). If I’m working on a RR, something amazing or terrible has happened. Anyways the BMW software was awesome for what I needed it to do which was to tell me trans temps. I also played around with opening the sunroof and other modules to see what all was possible. Very happy with my purchase!!

Great tool to communicate with modules
It works like a regular OBDII code reader but also has features to communicate with system modules. Works well. I wouldn't suggest messing with things you don't fully understand. This is a technical tool for professional use. I am a certified technician and it is perfect for in the go diagnostics for my BMW. Good tool for car folks who understand how to use it. I can see someone creating more problems for themselves if trying use it improperly. Good product at a decent price

Slow and Unreliable
This is a decent BMW scanner but it's difficult to register the unit so you can use it. I first installed Foxwell's Chinese-language software on my Windows 7 daily driver laptop and it reconfigured my Windows settings, changed system registry settings, and messed with my firewall!!! It took me the better part of an afternoon and finally had to do a system restore to get my daily driver back to normal.Foxwell's Chinese tech support communicates every poorly in English, and after several failed attempts I gave up and solved my problem by installing their software on a backup Windows 7 laptop and looking at YouTube videos. Let this be a warning, do not install Foxwell's Windows software on your daily driver as it does unknown things to your Windows configuration.I'm disappointed that despite downloading the full BMW scanner package, I still do not get full BMW E39 diagnostics like advertised. I cannot reset the airbag, oil, or MIL lights or any other service condition. It does not run diagnostics on the SRS system. Also, like many other BMW users with this scanner, i get constant communication errors. The scanner comes with a cheap 8GB microSD flash card that stores the device's registration info, scanner package, and diagnostic results. The card is slow, very slow, painfully slow, probably the slowest microSD I've ever tested which is why the scanner takes so long to do anything. So, I replaced the card with a fast & rugged Kingston 8GB Industrial microSD https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09CYKGS6S/ and used Robocopy to copy files from the original microSD to the Kingston. It's like a different scanner, menus are FAST and scans are quick and snappy. The documentation is lacking, but there are lots of online resources. It's not a great scanner but it's good enough for the limited functionality it has.UPDATE: Downgraded from 2 stars to one. The unit is painfully slow and usually refuses to communicate with the OBD2. when it does connect, it won't do a smart VIN identification so i have to enter my VIN manually. Even then, no longer scans the car so its useless. Compare that to my Autophix 7910 which is amazingly fast and returns proper P-codes.

Its slow but it works.
Somewhat slow but it works. The scanner has a lot of system diagnostics tools. This is a must if you own a BMW.

I like the product but it can be better
After using for more than a year I still get regular updates and it's working as it should but honestly for the price range it could be doing a better job. The quality of the product is perfect.

Takes a little getting used to...
NT 530 is great for my BMW. Takes a little getting used to but overall Foxwell makes it pretty easy to use.Update: Bought the Mercedes Benz software too and already saved about $650 after watching a couple videos, maybe I should thank Youtube as well.

Gives you a good view if something is wrong but you will need to do more research after.
This device gives you a very good look into the cars systems. If there is something wrong then it will definitely show up as a fault. Thereafter though you will need to review the codes and really dig in to see what the problem is. In many cases only a certified shop can probably fix the problem. But at the very least, this device will give you a window into your cars status when you go to the shop so you know the shop is not steering you in the wrong direction. But if you are a really good mechanic, this tool is very valuable.
