SAMSON 3XM-SMAG Gun Stock Accessories

1) The seller, Defender Outdoors LLC, was great and fast!!2) Samson, however, DID drop the ball on the screw length as someone else posted. The one for the riser (1/3rd cowitness) was too short. I called and they said "yes we sent out a batch with too-long screws" and told me to get a 10-32 1/2" pan-head (though I heard someone with calipers say ".596" in the background). For one, you don't need a pan-head, you need a counter-sunk (I knew they were wrong about that, so I ignored them--though it did make me wonder about them). However despite their claim (even saying they had a micrometer and a screw right there), 1/2" wasn't long enough--it MAY have cleared the mount and riser by like 1/30th of an inch tops--not even enough to catch the threads. I ended up GRINDING down the too-long ones, but I imagine you need 10-32 3/4" countersunk screws.3) This is my 2nd SAMSON 3.5X and they are by far the best value for what you get. The magnifier's eye-relief and eye-box are as good or better than Aimpoint or Eotech's G33. I'm not much of a glass snob, but I'd say it's almost as good or as good as those two as well. Even with the extra .5X of magnification, the FOV is only a few feet smaller at 100Y (maybe 3-4ft). The flip-switch IS definitely too small, but it's not hard to get to (I will admit the G33 is the best flip mount out there).While the Vortex can be had insanely cheap, I HATE the mount and the eye-box/eye-relief isn't as good as the Samson.I WILL say that the larger glass on the Samson is a bit annoying to me when using it with MICRO sights (from the T2 to the RMRs). I think it really shines with Eotechs, 30mm Aimpoints, the Mepro RDS, etc. I'd love to see some torture testing, because if it's even 75% as tough as AP and the G33, then it's by far the best deal on the market. Currently this is my favorite and I've owned 1 AP, 2 G33s, Vortex, a Lucix 2x-5x, and 2 PAs (1 was the great LER--I bet their new gen LER is great, but worry about water-proofness).

I LOVE this magnifier. extremly well built and durable. I have had the 800+ dollar ones and bought this for my cheap set and gun. This thing has beat every other one I own and is now on my 5000 dollar AR. I have it paired with my eotech. A MUST have item if you want incredible quality at a price that is low.Side note, I had no issues with screws per intial quality, everything fit and came as decribed.4 month update, I love this thing so much I bought another, I sumerged 2 feet under water to test it out and still work PERFECT, I also gave it a beating to test out the derability and it till help up amazingly, with little to no scrathes. Bottom line, I think this is actaully the best magnifier on the market, and I have owned some optics way more expensive then this. Samson, you did a great job with this item, will buy ur products again!9/10/17- Optic is still perfect, holds zero, looks just as good as it did originally. Used it in swamp, winter, summer, fall, hunint everything from cyote to elk. Has held up perfect and it still my favorite magnifier. Would highly recomend. Currently own two of them, on AR and Bullpup platforms.

Got my magnifier in the other day and mounted it as soon as I got the box opened. I have an Eotech EXPS2-0 which has the quick disconnect mount. I had to install the riser on the magnifier in order to have a perfect line up between the two. This is when I discovered that the screws that came with the Samson were too long. By about 1mm. Easy fix with a Dremel but should not have been needed. The quality of the optic and the mount would have given it 5 stars easy, but having to fix screws is a bit of a downer. I hope that I am the only one with this problem. If you purchase this item you won't be disappointed with that optic itself just be prepared to do a little bit of grinding or screw shopping.

I've been using this for a couple years, rattling around in a car. It works and looks as good as the day I bought it. I would buy this again, and recommend this to anyone. I locktite'd the screw when I put it together and have had zero problems with it.

Works very well for me and costs less than the top brands.

slight interference on my pop up rear sight, but trimming a bit of the rubber fixed that

Great magnifier for half the price of others in the market.

My initial review of this product was positive, but after only using it for a few times, I began having issues. I went through the adjustment process and after shooting my rifle, I noticed that the adjustment for centering the reticle was off again. I tried numerous times, but any vibration from shooting my rifle or simply tapping on the Magnifier cause it to loose adjustment. Thanks AMAZON for helping me resolve the support issue I was having.
