Excellent!
I made the mistake of getting a metal peel for my new pizza oven, and had no idea how much that was going to suck. The metal is awesome for turning the pizza and removing once you get it in there and cooking some, but in my experience, you really need the wood to launch it from. These are the perfect size for my ceramic oven, and have been holding up great as well. It's nice to just be able to use this to make the pizza on, and have it just slide right off. I cleaned them first as instructed, then let air dry before use. I also used a little flour and rubbed in somewhat before I used the first time, and use a little corn meal as well before I placed the dough down, but isn't something you HAVE to do. If any sauce gets on it, it also seems easiest to just use a little flour to rub over that spot and it sort of absorbs it and helps remove it so that spot doesn't stick on the next pie. Would recommend heartily!

Not a fan (of peels in general)
Short take:PRO - These make nice serving boards. They are strong and sturdy.CON - There is nothing really wrong with the peels but... I truly regret buying this, mainly because I use a cast iron pan and hate the flour on my crust. I dress my pizza on parchment, cook it until the crust sets enough, remove the parchment & finish the pizza. Perfect. As for these peels, they make nice serving boards. I'm glad I got these on sale. If I had paid more than the discount price of 19, I'd be sending them back. They are not horrible but I think I had different expectations - for these or ANY peel.Detailed version:WHY I WON'T USE THESE AS PEELS -Using these requires also using a bit of flour (and possibly also corneal) to help slide the pizza from the peel and into the oven. I knew that but didn't understand how much flour it would take. I am better at using parchment paper than I am at using these peels.I use a cast iron pizza pan so I thought I would love having a wooden peel to help with transferring the pizzas into the pan. Things did NOT work out as I'd expected. Yes, the peels do make it easier to get the pizza into the pan. - HOWEVER, I have to use so much flour and/or meal to do this that it ruins the overall bake. I end up with flour on the bottom of the crust and in the bottom of my beautiful pan. Before now, I was literally just heating my pan (and running it on broil for a few minutes), then quickly transferring the crust to it & rushing with my toppings before putting it in the oven. Was this annoying? A bit. But my pan didn't lose a lot of heat in those couple of minutes. When using a peel, you also have to move quickly because the dough absorbs the flour and will stick to the peel. I'd rather work fast and end up with a flour-free mess than worry about losing a little oven heat. It's a good thing that there are 2 peels in this pack. When I was using one for the pizza, I thought ahead and prepped the 2nd one for some reason. I did work quickly to top my pizza and I kept checking that the flour was letting it slide easily but, by the time I finished the toppings, I realized that the dough was not sliding. I carefully used a spatula to transfer it to the other peel. When I got ready to slide it into the oven it went well. It was just the end result that I hate. No matter how little flour I use, that flour on my crust and in my pan still bothers me to no end.My pizza was beautiful on top but the crust was floured and icky. I ended up just forking the top of the pizza off to eat so that I wasn't getting the very bottom. On top of that, it took FOREVER to clean that cooked flour out of my pan. What a nightmare. The next time, I tried using a little bit of flour and a little bit of cornmeal. That was an even bigger mess. My pan cooks too hot so not only was the flour scorched but the cornmeal was burnt tasting. Ugh!USING THESE AS SERVING BOARDS: -I have now decided that I am going back to my old way of making pizza. At least my crust was amazing and delicious. I put too much care into making my dough to mess it up with flour! I will use the peels for serving the pizza when I have company over. In the meantime, I have oiled them with virgin coconut oil & am letting them hang on the kitchen wall. At least they look cute. And they make really nice serving boards for pizza, meats and cheeses, bread and butter, etc.No SPLINTERING -I did not have any splintering or rough edges. I also had no problems with the laminate between the wood. It looks ALL wood to me because when I oiled it, the layers all responded the same. I don't find the boards to be flimsy at all. My pan is a 14-inch and I used almost all the space on the peels for my dough. I had no issues with the board being flimsy or cheap. I will be able to serve a good-size loaf of bread with meats and cheeses on this with no problems.GRAIN PATTERN IS UNEVEN -The 2 boards I received have an odd grain pattern. I expected that the grain would run smoothly from the handle down to the bottom or from side to side. Nope. The grain on one board is smoother in one direction & the other board has random patches of smoothness - almost as if the grain has a swirl pattern in a couple of spots. The first time I floured them, the flour adhered better in some spots than others on one board & on the other, the flour adhered better in patches. Weird. Now that they are both oiled & I am only using them for serving this isn't a big deal.BOTTOM LINE -I wish I had never bought these and would not have if I knew what a disaster using flour and/or cornmeal would be. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I watched a lot of videos that advised using flour and/or cornmeal.

A must for pizza lovers!
Buy it! No more chasing pizza around the oven. Works perfectly and washes with water easily. Great bang for the buck!

Made of plywood
Missed the picture showing this was birch PLYWOOD. Just saw the birch part. Don't know how well this is going to work, but there's a spare if the first one starts losing it's edge.

Perfect
Perfect for pulling your Pizza out of the oven

good cutting boards
seem a bit thick for a pizza peel (but I haven't tried them. Have a thin metal one - see other reviews) but they make good cutting boards - at a very good price.
