Not an authentic Gyro Bowl.
I have one of these that I bought 6 years ago for my son at buy buy baby. I still have the old one and it still works greats. But I now have a one year old and wanted to get one for her, so I bought this one. This is a generic version of the one I have. It doesn’t spin as smoothly and I think that makes a big difference in the bowl actually working. I posted a photo; the one on the left is the authentic one and you can see where it says Gyrobowl, the one on the right is the generic one. I’m returning this one and will keep searching for an authentic one.

Smart kiddos will spill items out anyways
I thought I would love this bowl and carrying snacks would be easier since my little one would not be able to pour the bowl out. Oh I was so wrong.... my 1 year old is too smart and ornery for his own good. He has learned if he throws the bowl hard enough onto the ground it will spill and if he just hold on to the rotating parts he can make it spill that way as well. Oh well.... we tried!

Great little bowl
This is my second purchase of a gyro bowl and here is my 5 cents worth. If your child is sitting in a high chair or at the table it works perfectly provided he or she does not wear it as a hat. If your child is walking around with it held somewhat parallel it works perfectly but not if he or she carries it like a purse or a tool box. In other words - with normal use it works very well!

Good durable bowl
So the product works as advertised...however I got it hoping my son would maybe make less of a mess using it 🤦🏻♀️. Nope not with this kid lol. It took him 2 seconds flat to figure out how to fling his goldfish out for the dog 😂. It’s ok the bowl still works and he is just 1 so 🤷🏻♀️.I would defiantly recommend this product because it does do what it advertise and it made well. It’s also durable, he has tried to stop it a few times and it’s still spin. It would also make a good gift.

Actually Impressed
I thought that this was a good idea but honestly thought that in practice it wouldn't be very good. I have a very active toddler who is always on the move. He is also into dumping out bowls and such. This bowl helps a lot in that regard. It keeps food in despite my on-the-go toddler and believe me, he's tried. My little guy is also a budding engineer, so he's tried to figure out how to dump from the Gyro Bowl but hasn't had much success. I would have given it 5 stars, but I took one-half star off because it's bulky and doesn't store well and one half-star off because it's a little small. You can fill the bowl a little too high and it doesn't keep foods in as well as if there is less in it. I'd like to see a larger size for bulkier snacks (I'll have to look maybe they do have one.) We tend to give our little guy a variety-a few carrots, a few cucumber slices, a few pretzels and let him choose, so a bigger version would be nice. My son carries it with him from room to room (and he's a runner) and it's rarely spilled any food from the bowl. He's even swung it around and it's stayed full.Pros:Does what it says-keeps food in, is very spill resistantPortable-has a cover so it can be taken on tripsSon loves it, seems to like snacks more when we use it (seriously, it's half-toy to him)Comes apart easily for cleaning (Also is dishwasher safe)Science! (yes, I'm giving it points for being science-y)Cons:Overall bulky & hard to store in cabinetActual bowl is rather small, may need frequent refills for a heavy-duty snackerNot for foods that need utensils or are wet (no cereal with milk and I wouldn't put cakes or such in it.)Bottom line-for $5.99 (what I paid) I'm happy with it and would recommend it to other parents.

not safe for little ones, choking hazard!!!!!!!
I bought this bowl for my grandson, it says spill proof, but it was spilled within a few seconds of handling. If it is made to be held a certain way to be spill proof, then it should be advertised that way!!!The worst part of this bowl is that it didn't stay together and it has a piece that can cause a severe choking hazard to little ones. There is the weight on the bottom of the inside bowl that fell off(very poorly glued on) and my friends 9 month old almost choked on it!!!!! This problem needs to be addressed immediately in case it happens to someone else's children!!!! I do not recommend this product for anyone that has a young one!!!!! Not as advertised at all!!!! Buyer beware this product is a knock-off from the original "as seen on TV," and is not safely made!!!!

False Advertising
I'm giving two stars because it does work however it is false advertising. In this item page it shows the GYRO BOWL and shows the pictures and explains the ACTUAL GYRO BOWL! The product we received was not was we thought we where paying for! It kinda made me mad because I thought I was getting a deal on the actual TV shown Gyro bowl but what we got was "the gravity bowl" The picture shows the "as seen on tv" emblem but the product I got says "similar to as seen on tv" To me that is not right. Show the actual product. I have seen this gravity bowl knock off at store near my home if I wanted a knock off I would have bought it same day instead of waiting for it to ship. I am very disappointed with the seller and will NEVER buy from them again. This is so knocked off that the pictures on the box are of kids playing and then they Photoshop a "gravity bowl" in their hands, not done very good by the way!

Most people are just unrealistic. It's actually pretty good.
We've had this bowl for about a week now. Honestly, I think everyone who gives this bowl a rating of 1 star must have had unrealistic expectations and probably falls for all the as-seen-on-tv crap. Seriously, yes if my daughter drops the bowl, cereal will go everywhere. But you know what? It's definitely better than a regular bowl, which would break and do the same thing. It's also better than a ziplock bag, because she ALWAYS dumps those out. I'm glad I paid $5.49 for it. It's a great deal. I read some reviews where someone paid $30 for one... are you kidding me? I'd probably be pissed that the bowl doesn't have some magical food-staying powers too! There was another review where someone literally threw the thing across the room and it broke. You don't say!? Quit getting angry because you're stupid.Look people, bottom line: it's decent and if you have a calm child, I'd definitely recommend it.BTW as I wrote this, my daughter is walking around swinging the bowl around in her hand. My floor is still clean.

Useless - But Fun To Defeat
Bought by my wife in a moment of madness who seemed to think that the grandchildren would not be able to scatter their food across the kitchen like a madwoman's s***e with these things. How wrong she was.In theory of course the bowl is held like a gimbals supported marine compass. Until you factor in small children who very quickly work out that you can shake the contents out if swung hard enough or simply dig their paws in and scatter it instead. The reason for two stars not one is that the the rug rats do enjoy defeating the system which must add some educational benefit to dinner time. Other than that these bowls are nothing more than a fancy gimmick that don't work in practice.

Disappointed
Not very strong and my baby could pull it apart

best for light scarves and accessories
Great for any light weight scarves but as I wear a lot of shawls and thicker scarves and have probably around 30 of them; the hanger broke off after about 2-3 month. Also if the hanger is twisted too much it does break off but you can sometimes screw it back in. Overall I feel its best for lighter scarves and accessories but nothing heavy.

DOES NOT WORK, AVOID!
It took seconds for my one year old to empty the contents of this "spill proof" dish onto the floor. It also fell apart after being washed up couple of times and the component parts would not stay together when I attempted to reassemble it. A useless product. I'm so glad I didn't pay the RRP for this product.

Disappointing spinning bowl that doesn't spin.
Great idea... but it does get stuck, a lot! This bowl is meant to move about it doesn't as it gets stuck due to the attachment inside sticking. On top of that it took 4 weeks to arrive, I'd actually forgotten about it and wish I had not bothered to buy it. Also doesn't hold much at all, will just have to use for crisp/biscuits.
