Bluetooth-based wifi connection
The media could not be loaded. Wifi connection: This light is easy to set up using 'smart life app'. Just follow the app's instructions. After I set the lights up near my router, I moved them to my movie room which is far away from the router. I was concerned about its wifi connectivity, But the light actually connects to the app via bluetooth connection to my phone after the initial wifi setup. So, it is a wifi device if the wifi connection is good and you can control it anywhere. After I moved it to my movie room, the light loses its wifi connection. But I can still control it with bluetooth. Once my phone bluetooth is on and the phone is close to light (within 10 ft), the app can control the light very reliably. However, the device does not show up as a connected device for bluetooth. So, I call it a bluetooth-based wifi device. The light needs power to keep the connection setting. It should not be without power for too long. I had to set the light up as a new device after I turned off the power to the light for 24 hours. When the phone is close to the light and the light still shows offline in the app, I just click the device icon in the app and the connection will be restored. I also tried to directly use app commands near the light when the connection showd offline. The offline light will NOT respond to app commands. For some people, these glitches will be unmanageable, especially without idea on what is going on. To me, it is fine as long as I have a simple solution to the connection problem. Two extra clicks are not bad after opening the app with light offline. I take off one star for no direct wifi connection in the same room as the TECKIN smart plugs that have reliable wifi connections.Update about wifi connection: After moving my AXE95 router up one shelf in my closet, both lights have stable wifi connection now. Add one star back for a great product that works with Bluetooth-based wifi connection even in an area with poor wifi connectivity.Usage: the smart life app allows me to control two lights simultaneously. I can turn them on/off, change the brightness, and change to the color or the scene used last time. Each operation can be completed by pushing a tap-to-run button in the app. I love the blue color and the gorgeous scene to change color automatically (see the attached picture and video). The lights make the movie room more fun. Very happy with the purchase of this light. Much better than a smart switch.

Use the right method to set up your beautiful new smart lights.
I bought six of these lights and boy are they beautiful. They are bright and more versatile than the same GE smart color lights that were over double the price.I had trouble setting these up as well just I have had a little trouble setting up all of my smart lights and switches thus far. When using the fast method it would only connect two lights at a time. For me the slow method was much more reliable and did not take longer. If you reset the lights twice they will go from the fast to the slow method. You are able to tell this because after resetting the second time the lights will be blinking slower than after the first reset. I also did what someone else had suggested and set them up close to me with a lamp and moved them to their permanent location later. This did not cause any problems and resulted in my new perfectly set up smart lights.The lights start out whiter than I am able to change them using my Google home app. Using the smart life app, I currently have them set so that my four corner lights slowly change colors and the middle light shines down a beautiful white light. All of them are set around 40 percent brightness and this is plenty bright enough. I only have to say ok Google turn on kitchen lights. For the price and the result you cannot not beat it therefore these lights deserve 5 stars.

Bulb went bad with only 0.3% or less of minimal use rating!
I'm very disappointed with my purchase. I bought 4 of these bulbs and one is already not working after only 3 months. It barely lights up and flickers really badly. These are ratted for a minimum of 30,000 hours of normal use and mine has very minimal use. I'd be lucky if it's even had 90hrs of use and it has only been used at 60% brightness on a white setting. It doesn't even get used once a day and the days it is used it's for a few minutes at a time. What's even more frustrating is that it is sold by Amazon so I can't even contact a seller to see if they would be willing to send a replacement bulb due to this one being faulty. Ironically I usually prefer buying things "sold by Amazon" for a couple reasons but I guess I never considered the downside in a situation like this... Stranger yet of anyone on Amazon who should be standing behind what that sell, or faulty products, you would think it would be Amazon, but I see know way to get help after 30 days. Which in this case is just rong seeing as these are rated at a 30,000 hour minimum mine has failed not just a little, but extremely short of that. Being generous, I may Have gotten 0.3% of it if you do the math. Yet it looks like I will be out the $18-20 dollars for a faulty light plus the $35-40 to buy a replacement as they are sold in sets of two. Plus these are in a set of 4 in my home so without all 4 bulbs I have insufficient lighting. So I either have to buy another, get a whole different set of 4. Just doesn't seem fair especially for something sold by Amazon. On the other side of things I would really like and recommend the bulbs if it weren't for the one that has gone bad extremely prematurely. Which also makes me nervous about spending more money on another set, especially when I shouldn't even have to, to begin with. Just very disappointing overall!
