Works on my old Fagor stove top pressure cooker
I needed a replacement gasket for my old Fagor pressure cookers (Rapid Express and Splendid models) and was saddened to hear that Fagor had gone out of business. I found the new company Zavor sells replacement gaskets. Zavor would not say that their new gaskets would work with my old Fagor pressure cookers and I was told the one place I could get replacement parts that were designed for my pressure cooker. I took a chance and ordered a Zavor replacement gasket and found it is a suitable, working replacement.I am lucky enough to have the original rubber gasket, a Fagor silicone replacement gasket, and now the new Zavor model. All three are 9" gaskets. The gaskets pictured are:1. Green (on the end) is the original rubber gasket. It is marked FAG-009 CK6 and bears the Fagor logo. I believe it has a date code of 1996.2. Light grey (in the middle) is the Fagor silicone replacement gasket. It is marked FAG-009, FAG-125 and also bears the Fagor logo. I believe it has a date code of 2007.3. The lightest grey (opposite end of the original green gasket) is from Zavor. It is marked ZAVOR-A-08 with no logo. I believe it has a date code of October, 2018.The new Zavor ZAVOR-A-8 silicone gasket appears to be an exact duplicate of the Fagor FAG-009 silicone gasket.I have used it twice in my 4 quart size Splendid pressure cooker, and found it works fine. It's nice to have a gasket that seals so well that pressure builds faster now and takes less energy to get there. The first time I used it, I used a quick-release method of reducing pressure by running water over the lid (something that can't be done with the new digital models) and I noticed some steam venting out from under the lid opposite of the main handle. I suspect that may be due to the more flexible silicone material. Here's my take on the matter: Because pressure cookers and their components are designed to work as a system, the new company Zavor cannot guarantee their new gasket will perform as some *other company* has intended. I understand this, as it relieves Zavor of any liability if the new gasket causes any problems. For example, the gasket is an integral part of a safety pressure relief system designed into the pressure cooker. A gasket made with a material different from the original design can cause problems. In this case, I see the new silicone gaskets (the Fagor FAG-009 silicone and Zavor ZAVOR-A-08) are both substantially more flexible than the original rubber gasket (this may cause the gasket to vent at a lower pressure? And/Or the old rubber gasket was way, way overdue for replacement!) Other than that, the new silicone gaskets are the same inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness and height as the original.I can tell you that in my experience this Zavor ZAVOR-A-8 silicone gasket works just fine in my old Fagor 9" pressure cooker. Just don't expect Zavor to give any assurances.

This works for my old Fagor pressure cooker!
Give this a try if you have a Fagor and other gaskets haven't worked for you! Mine was bought around 2008 and I'm just now replacing the old gasket. The Spanish company built a fine cooker. My old gasket had FAG-122 embossed inside and this 8 quart pressure cooker requires a gasket about 10" in diameter. My first order (didn't work for me) was the Impresa 10" and I remembered reading a review that touted Zacor as the one that worked for him. I called Zacor and the service person said their gasket only works on Zacor product. Wrong!!!

Just like the seal that came with my cooker
I ordered an extra seal for my Zavor stovetop pressure cooker so I would have an extra when I needed one. It turns out that the seal also works in an old stainless pressure cooker made in Spain by Farberware, so I purchased 2 for that pot as well. I had tried a less expensive seal for the old pot but it was too thin and leaked all over. Waste of money. These are the same As came with the new Zavor pot so I am very happy. I love my stovetop pressure cookers.

Not bad, didn't work for me
Not a bad product, but didn't end up working for my vintage steam cooker.

This silicone ring fits my Fagor stove top pressure cooker perfectly!
This silicone ring fits perfectly!!I haven't been able to use my Fagor stove top pressure cooker for several years because the silicone ring I bought didn't fit right and leaked air. I bought an Instant Pot and loved it, but beans and carrots cook faster in the stove top pressure cooker. I'm so happy that it's usable again!

Excellent customer service
Excellent replacement for my existing pressure cooker. Zavor went far and beyond to satisfy our needs. I had to buy 2 other sizes then finally after contacting the Zavor they were able to identify the right size and was able to use our pressure cooker right away. Thank you Zavor for excellent customer service

Exactly as Ordered
Having just bought a Zavor pressure cooker (excellent) and having (for once...) read the directions, I realized that having spare lid gasket or 2 around was a good idea so I ordered them. The price was right, they came on time or a little early, and were OEM exactly as ordered.
