Small but powerful
A great addition to your tool collection it is small but powerful it leaves a very smooth surface just remember just a little bit at a time and it’s light weight and easy to move I still haven’t figured out how to properly use the dust collector so I just use it outside and let the dust and chips go where they wantI’ve got some one hundred and fifty plus year old seasoned black walnut that I ruff cut with my chainsaw and after I plane it down it leaves it as smooth as glass it is so beautiful when I’m done shaping all of it the things that I’m going to make with it boggles my mind 🤔🤔🤔

Broken dust collector and thumb screws
Dust collector was broken and thumb screws were missing. Everything else was fine. Love the planer. Works great. Just miss dust collector and thumb screws. Very easy to set up. Tim

Has quite a bit of snipe, but considering what it is, it’s to be expected
You have to have realistic expectations. There is a lot of snipe at the end of a run. So cut to length AFTER planing. You’ll want to cut the last 3 or 4 inches off. Or you’ll be doing a lot of sanding.

Excellent for the price.
Do not confuse this with a high end planer. It is an entry-level machine, but works surprisingly well for the cost. If you only have ocassional need and don't mind a bit of nsipe, it's a good choice.

Great product!
This planer works great for me as a DIY'er. I use it only occasionally but have had no problems with it. Highly recommend this for the non-professional carpenter like me.

I trust the Craftsman name
I got this one for planning my wood and I have not been disappointed with it. I like the way it works and the wood looks great afterwards. I enjoy the knob to make precise adjustments and the increments of being able to get just the right amount of wood off the board to make something nice from pallet wood. If I purchase S4S or S2S I would not have a need to use the planner, but I am a pallet lady and although I don’t pick up every one I see as I’ve gotten more picky about wood and still I find some really nice wood on some of the pallet pieces that I find around town. I have so many ideas for woodworking projects that I have a hard time passing up on free wood. I think a planner is a must buy for me and my woodworking projects. This planner has checked most of my boxes and the price was right for me. I grew up with Craftsman tools in my dad’s garage so I trust them too.
